When Heath died, I had only seen about three of his movies. My favorite was The Patriot. Since he died I have seen the rest. He didn't make all that many. My favorite of the others was "Candy". You have to see it! I found Heath to be very versatile. I wish he had gone into counselling so he could have continued in what I'm sure would have been a long, brilliant career. He could play anything or anyone. I am very much looking forward to seeing "Dark Knight". I would have gone to see it anyway because I looove Christian Bale. I'll probably cry all the way through it because of the sadness I feel at the loss of a great actor too soon. To Tammy Lee. Katie Holmes was not available for this movie. She was busy with something else.

Heath was a addict and he mistakenly took to many pills like most addict do at times. Christopher B. has stated that Heath was fine between takes, he was not in that dark mood off camera as he was on for the role as Joker.It was a accident and I really feel for the daughter and Michelle, I think Heath should have had a will naming Michelle in charge of Heath estate not his father.I also hope Heath gets a Oscar just because he should have received one so many times before.He was a excellent actor and he will be missed. I look forward to seeing the flick, but am disappointed they used Maggie G in this movie. I am not crazy about her as a actress and seeing the trailer and her character just turn me off to the movie. Maggie plays one part as always in movies, and it is how she is in real life; a old bitty. I would not call that acting. I think a movie that is being overshadowed which is a excellent flick is Hellboy II, Luke Goss as Prince Nuada really stood out in this movie. But as usual no Celeb paper or mag. are talking about any other movie this summer but Batman. Makes you wonder how much they pay these paper to talk only of one movie. Last summer it was Ocean 13, which was stupid!!! Ironman was also a great movie this summer.

People do it all the time without realizing. the pain is really bad so you just take a little more. everyone's tolerance to drugs is difference. not to mention that most drugs effectiveness is based on weight so a 300 lb man needs more than the 98 lb weakling. and any thing is possibly fatal at anytime. Just like Guard u knowwhat that the drug manufacturers and the pro choice crowd is pushing. Its killing little girls. But thats okay to the prochoice crowd as long as it pushes their sex without consequences lifestyle.

If he Heath Ledger did a good job, he deserves the Oscar, if others are better then they should have it. His death should have no bearing on the outcome.

for people saying "praise an addict", heath was not an addict. people clost to him have said he was never addicted to any bad drugs. his death was the cause of an accidental overdose due to prescribed meds given to by an uninformed doctor. his family has even said heath would have never left his daughter, in plenty of interviews all he ever said was he used to not fear death because it comes, you cant stop it, but he feared death after the birth of his daughter because he didnt want to leave her. his biggest fear in life was leaving his baby.

i was so angry with that one. he gave an amazing performance there and i think he should have then when he was alive.

i clearly havent seen the dark knight but i think the idea of giving awards out to artists who are deceased is a crock. they should have embraced heath's talent when he was alive and not take note only since he has passed.

My husband and I can't wait to see this movie. He looks so scary in the previews. We think its going to be great and we're excited to see it. I've always like Heath and Christian Bale is a good actor too. Can't wait.

Chicago Sun-Times columnist/film critic Richard Roeper believes that Heath Ledger gives one of the best performances of the decade in "The Dark Knight", and I've heard some fantastic reviews as well. I will not be shocked if the latest "Batman" movie easily tops the weekend box office when it's released, even though the American economy sucks right now. I also won't be surprised one bit if Ledger indeed gets nominated on the morning Oscar nods are officially announced.

I agree with Michael Caine that Heath Ledger should get an Oscar Nomination, and I will go see the Dark Knight, either in movie theaters or on DVD, etc.
