Michael Phelps is dignified without any self absorption. He is humble and he has self-esteem because HE earned his medals and didn't need any false esteem which so many demand today. Students don't do the work and demand an A. Michael is refreshing and a true hero and makes the USA proud. .

As for 12:39, I didn't realize you were in Beijing checking the Chinese girls' IDs for their age. If you say it is so obvious they are underage then I guess all those officials in the Olympics must be imcompetent. Maybe in the next Olympics, they should just hire you and you can judge eveyone by their appearance alone, because it's just so impossible for people to look younger/older than their age.

Actually this is a pretty known fact that they are doing this. The IOC pretty much acknowledged it as well but said they don't have time to verify the ages of all the Olympians and it is up to the individual countries. And yeah China really has such a history of being honest!!! So check the facts on this before you run your mouth.

If you did, you would know that the New York Times first reported on the Chinese gymnasts and the fact that their dates on birth certificates and passports DO NOT MATCH. All atheletes need do for the Olympics is submit a birth certificate to show when they were born. Wow, I guess you are naive enough to think those certificates couldn't be false. Think about it..Chinese gymnasts IN China. Hmmm, surely they wouldn't dare cheat on those certificates. Remember, we're talking about a country that takes three your old (and younger) children away from their families to send them to what amounts to gymnast boot camp to mold them into little gymnastic clones. Read newspapers, watch ESPN, watch THE OLYMPICS. There's VERY LITTLE DOUBT that a couple of those little China gymnasts were well UNDER 16 years of age. A blind man can see that!

There has been so many different reporters from around the world who say that he is possibly in some type of steroid. Well Michael was really upset over this, he has passed every test with no problem. But yet he has chosen to have his blood frozen and preserved in case they come up with some new test so they can go back and check his blood again. He is amazing and he does it with shear determination. He would never risks embarrassing his mother just to win a race. Her opinion of him matters more to him then the critics opinion of him.

I love watching him swim- I think he is part dolphin cuz he's so amazing. That relay race was insane!! Michael is an inspiration- not only is he a gifted athlete but also a clean one, see you don't need steroids or any other performance drugs to suceed- all you need is hard work, training and determination. Also- MY GOD they have insanely amazing bodies- drool.Keep up the awesome job Michael and team USA- Americans are very proud that you are representing our country!

Michael has actually been the highlight of the 2008 Olympics..what a talent, it takes such dedication and determination to do what he is doing.
