Lindsay Lohan’s little sister, Ali Lohan, is speaking out against her father Michael Lohan, who was released from prison in March where he served nearly two years for attempted assault and driving while intoxicated.

In an email to 24sizzler.com, Ali charges that her father was an absentee dad and claims that he is responsible for Lindsay’s self-esteem issues.

Ali, 13, also came to the defense of Lindsay and her mother, Dina Lohan, saying that they are a “normal family” who happens to live under a microscope. She added that Lindsay and Dina are huge inspirations to her.

Hi david this is ali lohan, i want everybody to know the truth out there. My mom is a single mom of four children she has always been there for us, she was my mother and father and still is. My father is telling all lies to people and saying he was such a great dad and was always there for us, my father was never there for us, My mom was always there souporting[sic] us. i think that the whole reason why my sister is upset with her self and not as cofident[sic], is because of my dad not being around, and always staying out late and not coming home for days, he would come back home never himself, he was always was making excuses for his bad behavior . And would always blame my mother. He just wants everybody in the world knowing that he was a great dad. He wasnt that is all a lie. I just want my sister to stick throught[sic] this okay, and my mother and brothers and i are there for my sister 100% and have always been. I’ve wanted to say this for so long and get this out there and let everyone know that our family is like a normal family but of course we are put under a microscope because of lindsays fame, lindsay will be fine she is just going through a rough time right now but she will be fine. i know this for a fact. My sisters is just like a normal sister. her and I have so much in common. My mother and sister are huge insperations[sic] to me, they have made it through so much in there lives.

Meanwhile, despite speculation that Lohan is on her way to NYC, her rep tells Usmagazine.com that the actress is still in Los Angeles.

Hi. I'm fourteen and I completely feel for Ali. 8th grade girls SUCK. They find anything to use against you to make you feel like you're a complete retard, and Ali being in the family she is in doesn't make it any easier. Personally if I was her, I would've stayed at school, to show them they couldn't break her. But, I'm not in her position so I can't change her decision. Anyway, Ali, if you read this by any chance whatsoever, stay strong. Step up and help your family stay strong, too. It's tough being in your place but you gotta get through it with your head held high. Also if that email thing was actually from you, use spell check once in a while. Sure her father has been a bad person,but its her father the same. Ive had a tougher life than lindsey, many people in the world have. There comes a time where you have to look at it all, figure it out and if you cant keep going. Not keep blaming other people. Truly, it is NOT Lindsay’s falt…She is suffering from Bipolar Disorder……People with this scourge are often medicating them selves with alcohol and/or cocaine….

Bipolar people usually “freak out” and do “outrageous/dangerous” things..They have constant “Racing Thoughts”….They cannot sleep like normal people….When drunk people do stupid things – Bipolars go “nuclear” with their feelings……This is very normal for the condition…..

I’m sure Lindsay does not want to admit to a mental illness, because Americans do not like to hear a “Crazy Diagnosis”…However, all over the world, mental illness are excepted, treated and never a big deal….

Hopefully, she can get on anti-psychotics, anti-depressants & stabilization drugs….These will not affect her personality; they will just STOP or LESSON Lindsay’s need for Drungs/Alcahol…….

*** Lindsay…I should not say this; but if you get on the right drug therapy; if you continue to drink, you will find that the drugs will stop you from “freaking out/doing crazy things”, even while drunk…However, your physiatrist will tell you to never drink while on the drugs..

***Also, you need to start dating normal, kind, family oriented guys..Midwest guys….Hell; you need to contact me!

Would any of Ali's teachers like to confirm that this is typical of Ali's writing style and abilities? I understand that impromptu emails, especially written from the point of emotional turmoil, are often less-than grammatically correct.

Ali, if this is actually from you, know that we understand that your family has been, and is going through, some difficult times. We do not deny, neither can we support, any claims about either of your parents' performance as parents. While we can assume that there is truth about your father not being there, and the resulting consequences of that on your family, we must also consider that he may have changed, possibly for the better. It has been my impression that your father has acknowledged that, in fact, he knows he was NOT a good father in your earlier years, and that he made some serious and damaging mistakes. We are also under the impression that, despite the burden your mother may have had in dealing with your family situation, she also may have made some decisions and done some things that have turned out to be less than fortuitous. I am of the impression that your entire family would benefit greatly from a genuine reconciliation of all members, with a GREAT DEAL of FORGIVENESS from each for each other, and that you all seek to function together as a reasonably united family. Realizing that may not be possible, I nonetheless wish for, and pray for such an happy ending, as that possibility is not unconditionally out of reach -- with God's help.

I understand their pain, but this child is THIRTEEN, and the things she is saying, they are things that her mother should have protected her from instead of singing like a canary to all of her children. sounds to me like momma said the things she did to pit her children against their dad. yeah, he's made mistakes, but he's trying to be there NOW. you can't live in the past, if you do, you will always be miserable. the best one can do is to start from the present and work on the future.

Of course Lindsay is responsible for her own actions, but no one can deny that her family had a hand in creating her problems that led to these actions. I am interested in how this will turn out. I would bet Paris Hilton has screwed her over. Before, her fancy lawyer would have gotten her off with community service, probation, and perhaps rehab. But thanks to Paris Hilton, the attention will be on her and the pressure will be on to be harder on her. She deserves it, though.

A "Normal" family?!!!! what planet is this girl on? Dina's got everyone in their family out there spinning this whole mess. (Reminds me of the Jackson family trying to cover up Michael's antics).Amazing how all the blame is being put on Michael Lohan and none on Dina. Give me a break, they are both to blame, maybe Dina more so, but Lindsay is an adult and she has to take responsibility for herself sometime.It really is too bad that Lindsay's life is such a mess, but it's pretty obvious the rehabs she's gone to have not worked. She needs to hit bottom and get a taste of the real world. Maybe then, she can pick herself back up and at least save her life.

People are watching how the California Legal systems is going to handle this, seeing what happened with Hilton. Lindsay needs to take responsibility for her actions. And Mommy Dearest needs to quit being an enabler and be a parent!

Poor Little Linds can drink herself into oblivion...and snort all the coke she wants....but when she takes that behavior and then gets behind the wheel of a vehicle and puts others at risk, that is when the courts need to say "Enough" and throw her in jail. 2 stints in rehab obviously hasn't done anything for her.

Let's see...her dad had a DUI and did two years....Lindsay now has 2 DUI's and 2 Felony Cocaine charges...maybe two years behind bars would be good for her. She sure deserves it.

Sounds like both the parents are screw-ups. The dad is a deadbeat and the mom goes out and parties with her underage daughter (she was underage at the time). And that's nice that Lindsay's little sister is sticking up for her and their mom but c'mon, she's only thirteen years old and doesn't have a clue to the big picture. Lindsay is heading down the Anna Nicole path and will be dead within a few years if she doesn't clean up her act asap. Two stints in rehab were useless, it's time for jail.
