What is wrong with you people constantly demonizing Dina and not being able to understand the entire family's negative feelings for the father? Take the fame out of the equation for a second and think. Dina is a single mom raising four kids by herself. The father has never been there for them or helped to support them. Not only that but he was an alcoholic and was in prison for beating up their uncle. We know he's done violent things. Why would anyone expect anyone from that family to not think badly of him. The reality is that most of the kids in that family were going to have issues regardless of fame. If any of you are single moms out there you will know how hard it is. You have to provide for them and have childcare for them and work and make sure you're raising them right and you're the only parent, so you're always the bad guy. My mom became a single mom when I was in high school with no support from my dad. I never understood how hard that is until I now that I have become one. Then every once in a while the Dad wants to jump back into the picture again and get some Dad time with none of the responsibility and then just as quickly they're out again until they feel like popping up. It's only so long before the children wise up. Also, if Michael Lohan has really changed, he should be thanking Dina for being there for his children all this time instead of spouting off about her to the media and maybe that would show his children he is changing. Also he might try getting a job and paying Dina back some child support. Maybe that would show he is being responsible.

Why the hell is this girl sending letters about her personally life to the media??? Her mom is obviously brainwashing this poor child. Sure her father has been a bad person,but its her father the same. Ive had a tougher life than lindsey, many people in the world have. There comes a time where you have to look at it all, figure it out and if you cant keep going. Not keep blaming other people. Ali, if this is actually from you, know that we understand that your family has been, and is going through, some difficult times. We do not deny, neither can we support, any claims about either of your parents' performance as parents. While we can assume that there is truth about your father not being there, and the resulting consequences of that on your family, we must also consider that he may have changed, possibly for the better. It has been my impression that your father has acknowledged that, in fact, he knows he was NOT a good father in your earlier years, and that he made some serious and damaging mistakes. We are also under the impression that, despite the burden your mother may have had in dealing with your family situation, she also may have made some decisions and done some things that have turned out to be less than fortuitous. I am of the impression that your entire family would benefit greatly from a genuine reconciliation of all members, with a GREAT DEAL of FORGIVENESS from each for each other, and that you all seek to function together as a reasonably united family. Realizing that may not be possible, I nonetheless wish for, and pray for such an happy ending, as that possibility is not unconditionally out of reach -- with God's help.

I understand their pain, but this child is THIRTEEN, and the things she is saying, they are things that her mother should have protected her from instead of singing like a canary to all of her children. sounds to me like momma said the things she did to pit her children against their dad. yeah, he's made mistakes, but he's trying to be there NOW. you can't live in the past, if you do, you will always be miserable. the best one can do is to start from the present and work on the future.

Ali is 13, so shes ripe to start visiting a nightclubs and party til 4am. I am sure Dina will be escorting her 7th grade child to a nightclub soon to get her system primed for Grey Goose Martinis. Of course the clubs will claim that no underage drinking takes place (wink, wink).

Actually, the father is the only one being honest and admitting his problems and taking parental responsibility. The mother partied with Lindsey. He made mistakes, served his time and is trying to get it together -- mom is more interested in the two other children's career right now. Hello?
