Miley Cyrus' parents aren't thrilled with the semi-topless shots of their 15-year-old daughter.
A source tells Usmagazine.com that Billy Ray Cyrus and his wife Tish were at the Vanity Fair shoot all day but decided to leave before the final, racy photo of Miley was snapped.
“They were happy with the photos taken earlier in the day, but they didn’t see the photo in question until now," the source says.
(In a statement, a Vanity Fair rep said, "Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot, and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley.")
So how is Miley — who is currently hiding out in Nashville — holding up?
“She’s embarrassed," the source says. "Her parents are really upset about the situation.”
On Monday, Bill O'Reilly blasted the "Achy Breaky Heart Singer" for allowing his teen daughter to pose for Vanity Fair in the first place.
"Vanity Fair ... is not her audience at all," he said, adding that he turned her into a "sex symbol" at 15.
He suggested she "do Oprah and say, 'We made a mistake, here's why and it won't happen again.'"

I think the photograph was beautiful. I didn't look at it as Miley Cyrus but as a young lady with fair skin and messy hair with a sheet...a lot of classical paintings portray women in that way. I think because of the overly sexualized culture, we immediately put malice into everything! If parents are so worried that their children's "idol" is "turning bad" or has made a mistake, isn't it THEIR RESPONSIBILITY AS (responsible)PARENTS to EDUCATE and offer GUIDANCE to their young children about the Do's and Don'ts and what's right and what's wrong?
I'm a big fan of Miley because of her songs, and the whole thing didn't change my view of her. YOung people make mistakes. But the good thing about being young is, we make mistakes, we learn from them and we move on for the better.
Who are you to say she hasn't learned her lesson? How would you know that? This is just an issue because of her fame and her fanbase. We cannot deny that more serious things happen to YOUNGER GIRLS around the country.

It is not "beautiful" she has bed head but I think that is the look the photographer wanted and what her dad was thinking. Rode hard and put away wet... Looks like Billy Ray is turning in to a Joe Simpson, Jr. Did you see the provocative pose he did with his 15 year old daughter, just as gross as the just been laid photo.

Ok, now had I been the parent I would have had a contract saying that I have to ok the final photo! They didn't think they needed to approve it? To let them just put up any picture they chose? They lying!. They saw them!
However, I am starting to feel sorry for Miley!. She didn't know better! and if they didn't have final say or see them take those shots of her then Vanity Fair and the person that took the pictures should be charged with child prono!.

Any parent who wants to turn their child into a star should take a good look at this situation. The reality of celebrity is that once you choose that route and become successful and famous there is a price to pay as well. If you make a mistake, you do it before an audience of millions of people. 99% of people on this planet will never experience that and you have to evaluate if that is truly the life you want for your child.

Yes, you can argue that girls are more topless at the beach and that the photo isnt a nude photo of her. But still, if you look at the pic, she is in a bed sheet, her hair looks messy, she has a bit of smudged red lipstick. It looks like she just had sex. Its disturbing for a 15 year old to even think thats artistic. It isnt. The look is not good and not the message that should be sent to 15 year olds. Not cool!

Look, just because she doesn't expose her breasts in the photo doesn't mean that it's okay. She's draped in what looks like a bed sheet, and her hair is messy and she's got red lipstick. If that isn't already sexual what is??? If she was wearing a tank top, or a strapless gown, no one would give a crap that she's showing her back. The point is that the pictures send an image of her in bed, possibly naked and yes that is provocative. I would never let my daughter pose like that...at least not for a few more years anyway. Why is the world trying to make girls more and more sexual at such a young age. What is wrong with Disney? They're really messing up with their female stars. I don't even understand the phenomenon with her. Hannah Montana is such a bad show. And her father gives me the creeps anyway. Now the photos prove how creepy they really are.
