FACEBOOKUmmmm, the first time I watched "Sex and The City," it was about the "rabbit." I won't explain what that is, but I'm sure those that are older will know what I'm talking about and what "it" is used for. Now, tell me differently if a young girl should be watching this? Then again most 15 year old girls are considered grown in todays realm. I still don't think it's appropriate for young girls to watch. I believe the show has a lot of sexuallity and suggests some things that us as adults can see differently, but those at a young age won't see the way we do. I'm just so disappointed with todays young girls in general. This is a strong recommendation for all parents to have your children look up to more IMPORTANT figures in life, like maybe you yourself as a parent, not someone like Miley, because she's not always going to deliver as this perfect teen role model that she so-called represents.

Miley Cyrus reveals in the latest issue of Vanity Fair that Sex and The City is her favorite show.
"I love it!" the 15-year-old star of Disney's Hannah Montana says.
"Obviously not the scenarios," says the God-loving abstaining Power Girl. "But if you watch Sex and The City, like the way the friends are, the way that it’s dry and they all have distinct characters – that's a thing we try to do on our show."
The Vanity Fair profile accompanies a controversial semi-topless photo of the singer-actress clutching a blanket (watch behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot above).
"I thought, this looks pretty, and really natural," she told the magazine. "I think it's really artsy. [And] it wasn't in a skanky way."
"And you can't say no to [photographer Annie Leibovitz]," Cyrus continued. "She's so cute. She gets this puppy-dog look and you're like, O.K."
On Sunday, Cyrus expressed second thoughts about the photo, which – like other recent pics of her in lingerie – cut against her clean-cut image (See more topless stars here).
"I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," she told Usmagazine.com.
"I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about," she added.

I think people are making the whole situation worse than it really is, i mean seriously people come on, I'm sure we've all seen worse... and as for her favorite show being sex in the city, I'm 20 and when i was in high school i knew a tons of 15 and 16 year olds who loved the show... remember people 15 is not that young anymore for this day-n-age.
Wow. I thought the picture was actually not that controversial, but Sex and the City being a 15-year olds favorite TV show? With two daughters, 10 and 12, who of course love Miley Cyrus, that sort of stops me in my tracks. I don't want my daughters watching that show.

Why is nobody asking WHY the photographer is not taking heat over this? Could ANYONE else get by with taking risque pics of a 15 year old girl? Annie L. is HUGELY famous and that has to be extremely intimidating. Here is a 15 year old girl and her Granny from Kentucky and a world famous photographer says, "take this pic" - yeah, they're goign to. Miley is a 15 year old girl who gets paid to do what adults in the biz tell her to do. Rag on the photographer awhile. If you're in such a snit calling these pics porn, then ask WHY THE PHOTOGRAPHER WAS TAKING PORN? She was the responsible adult in the room who wasn't star-struck and should have shown more sense instead of pouting at a 15 year old to get her way. THAT creeps me out - not that a child ade an immature decision.
Yeah, I'm 15 and I dont find that show interesting. It seems to me like she is trying to act mature and adult like, when she's not. I don't look up to her and never did because there is nothing to look up to. She can't sing, her acting is annoying and she is over all overrated.
When she said that you cant say no to a photographer that just really sad. Obviously the reason why she did that is because she wanted more money. When someone asks you to get drunk or do drugs in a puppy face way, are you going to say yes ? There are certain boundaries that we all have, and just because she is famous doesn't mean she can cross them. Posing semi nude is not OK. She should quit the innocent act and stop trying to grow up so fast, it wont get you anywhere.
No, Sex and The City is not appropriate show to recommend to young kids, etc. I would never let my 15-year-old daughter take those kinds of photos! When she get's older, maybe!? I don't have kids, but I'm just saying!

The Sex and the City reruns on television have all of the cuss words cut out. AND they run episodes at times when 15 year olds are watching tv. If 15 year olds shouldn't be watching the show then it shouldn't be on that early.

Wow, I mean come on, yes she is 15, but somtimes people do stupid things. She maybe an international star but she is still just a teenager. Just a teenageer. Yes hse wayches sex and the city. But come on what is this the 1800's? You can talk about sex!!! Many teenagers watch it, and they are just fine. Just because she watches it does not mean she gets ideas from it!!! And the photgrapher, everyone does stupid stuuf at some point in there life. Its all part of growing up. If we never made mistakes, how would we ever learn? She has some apologizing but the media(as it does with everything)is blowing this out of proportion! Yes, she made a mistake. She's just a teenager and for crying out loud! She's just human!
why dont all u dumb parents stop lookin in the tv for role models for ur kids and provide a role model in ur own households...

Her parents are her guide. They allow what goes on in their home. What she watches, what jobs she takes, who she hangs with(if they are as close as they appear they know her friends/boyfriends). If they were watching out for her...not just in a making money way....but her emotional and spiritual self..they would advise her better. Not allow boys in her room...help encourage her keep her modesty (not allow half shirts and exposing her bra on the outside of her shirt on the Disney Channel)....these are basic forms of advise. Excuses and apologies are fine, but taking responsibility ...MOM and DAD as well and not continuously making the same mistakes is important to growing and maturing emotionally and spiritually. Dad Cyrus should have learned these lessons on his own choices in life and therefore advise his daughter better.

i think miley should have been more careful. i do think the media is blowing this out of proportion, but miley should have known that would happen...especially now that she is trying to plead innocent.

I have a 6 year old niece who looked up to miley SO much. Now she is posing topless for vanity fair and watching sex in the city. AT 15!!!! that is VERY inappropriate! She is now trying to act like she is 20. She is losing a very large fan base and I hope she knows why! My niece is supposed to think pics in her bra pulling down her shirt trying to look like a slut and now posing topless are ok??? How can she process this in her own mind and think it's ok? What parents would think this is ok? I hope she gets her act together and straightens out!
You got to be freaking kidding me that Disney is trying to push this down peoples throats. Disney defends those kids because it's all a part of how far they can go to change your kids. Yes their shows are wholesome, but they know that it'll build such a following that when the real truth comes out, your kids now taking nude photos, watching sex and the city, and every time she makes a mistake will blame someoen else.
I love Sex and the City too! It's a great show, and who cares if Miley watches it! You can't hide children from the real world, and yes, in the real world people have sex!!
As a mother of a young girl that looks up to Miley Cyrus, i do think that she is projecting the wrong image to her fans. Come on, she watches sex and the city?? i am 30 and it makes me blush watching some of the scenes and hearing the discussions.
Sex and the City for a 15 year old? That is not appropriate. What kind of parents would allow that? Well, in a few years, she will turn into Britney, Paris, Lindsay, and we can all remember that she was watching inappropriate shows for her age and being exposed to things too early. We shouldn't be watching shows that are so explicit about sex, especially when we are 15.
