Miley Cyrus Wants to Do a "Younger, Cleaner" Sex and the City Show

 Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic Move over, Carrie Bradshaw. “I’d love to do a younger, cleaner version of Sex and the City,” Miley Cyrus, 15, tells TV Guide. (She previously told Vanity Fair that the HBO series is her favorite show. She later issued a statement clarifying that she only watches the edited, TBS version). Still, she says she won't be having sex anytime soon. "I like to think of myself as the girl that no one can get, that no one can keep in their hand," Cyrus goes on. Like her pals the Jonas Brothers, Cyrus wears a purity ring. “Even at my age, a lot of girls are starting to fall,” she says, “and I think if [abstaining] is a commitment girls make, that’s great.” As for her controversial Vanity Fair cover, she says, “I don’t dwell on the negativity. "I want to be a positive role model," she adds. She says she feels "empowered" when she sees her face on a T-shirt. "A girl wouldn’t be wearing a shirt with me on it just because she liked my show," Cyrus says. "She must look up to me.” See all of Miley's famous BFFs. Ok, one thing i really don't get is how can you have a good 'sex and the city' with just the 'City'? And one more thing, a girl who loses her virginity before being married isn't 'Falling' it's normal to want to lose it and it might even be normal to get it after a certain age. That's just a normal person, and not every normal person is going to go to hell for having sex before marriage!

I am totally 100 percent against pre-marital sex. To want to wait is admirable (it sidesteps being overly intimate at an age where you are not emotionally ready, and sidesteps many diseases). But, I hope both boys and girls who make such a decision (to wait) recognize within themselves whether or not that pledge is a struggle for them or a cakewalk. If they are 'fighting' the good fight (meaning the feel tempted), those are definitely the ones that should always carry a condom. They should still strive to keep their pledge, but at least know they'll be infinitely safe-ER (not totally safe) in case they give in to temptation.

Sex and the City ? Wow..when that was on she shouldn't have been allowed to watch it. And this bunk about her watching the TBS version is nonsense. She watched it on HBO like all the rest of us. And I know she watched WITH her mother. All that sex Samantha was having is inappropriate for a child to see! She was too young to understand all that jazz on Sex and the City! And yeah yeah we've all heard this line of bull before about staying a virgin... from Britney Spears and look how that all turned out. Wearing a purity ring doesn't mean a darn thing. It's a piece of jewelry, nothing more. What means something is what you do and don't do based on your own motivation. No tailsman ring is going to do that for anyone. And with those pics Miley had floating around the net of her half clothed in provocative poses.. I am not buying it for one second. She will indeed have sex BEFORE marriage. They ALL DO IT. Jessica Simpson is the only exception and only a FOOL would think her and Nick did not fool around HEAVILY before they married. I bet they did everything except sex. Her own sister couldn't even do it..she was boinking Pete Wentz before they married, that's OBVIOUS! And now Miley with this latest bull. alright, really... i think people are beyond hard on Miley. and i don't care that i'll take crap for saying that. she is a 15 year old girl, who is honestly trying to do what she thinks is right, and she is constantly taking flak for it. She shouldn't be a role model, if i had a daughter i wouldn't want her looking up to celebrities... hollywood is beyond fake, and kids, especially young girls need to know that. but if i had to choose any young girl in hollywood for my non existant daughter to look up to, i would probably choose miley. Because really when you compare her to all the other skanks in hollywood- she is pretty damn tame. the vanity fair pictures were nothing... everyone flipped for no reason. i think everyone just needs to back off a little bit... its people constantly criticizing and picking these girls apart, that leads them to drugs, alcohol, eating disorders and what not...

What you all seem to be missing is the fact that she's not a "role model". It is hard for me to read all of these mean comments about a GIRL and not respond. What is wrong with people who feel so comfortable being so mean? Miley is a girl. Girls don't and shouldn't share the same perspective as WOMEN. If she got her teeth fixed-which there is nothing wrong with her mouth--she'd be criticized for having cosmetic work. Geez theres nothing special about being a virgin until you're married and I know that all of you religious people out there would love to slap me for saying that but it's the truth. What matters is being responsible and safe about sex until you're sure you're ready for its implications. There are a lot of people that have done a lot of good that had premarital sex, get over it.And honestly, in my eyes Miley has been far from responsible, regardless of what she says. She says she doesnt dwell on the negatives but the thing is there are a lot of negatives, and theyre posted all over the internet. Thats like a drug addict saying that they choose not to dwell on the fact that theyre addicted to drugs because its a negative.
