Miley Cyrus knew she wanted to act as early as age 9. During the first years of her acting career, she appeared in her father's television series Doc and Tim Burton's Big Fish. In 2004, when Cyrus was 12-years-old, she hit the stardom jackpot when she was chosen for the role of Miley Stewart and Hannah Montana in Hannah Montana. Since then, she has become a household name among pop-loving girls. This young talent also performs in character of Hannah Montana and as herself, Miley Cyrus, for concerts and albums. Cyrus finished her Best of Both Worlds Tour in January 2008, where she performed both in character and out. The tour was a huge hit - partially due to the Jonas Brothers opening act - and tickets to her sold out concerts were being scalped for up to $2,500. In 2006, Walt Disney Records released the Hannah Montana soundtrack, including eight songs that Cyrus performed as Hannah Montana. In 2007, the pop sensation released a double-disc set, Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus, featuring both the second Hannah Montana soundtrack and Cyrus's debut album as… herself! Her single "See You Again" featured on this album still continues to climb up the pop charts. Up next, Cyrus will star in the highly anticipated Hannah Montana film sequel and season three of her television series. The actress/singer is also writing her memoirs. The book, to be published by Disney next spring, will center on her rise to fame and the guidance of her mother, Leticia.
