In her 3-D Disney concert film Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert, the teen queen, 15, is caught on camera riding in the back seat of a Range Rover without a seat belt. So is her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus.
Consumer Reports' Safety Web site claims that 65 percent of the 13- to 15-year-olds killed in auto accidents in 2006 were not wearing seat belts.
"It seems to us that Miley, her father and Disney had a perfect opportunity to help influence teens and counteract - rather than encourage - this trend," a blog item says.

Sorry Billy Ray and Miley your and Disney's apology is not accepted. I know that most of you are saying well it was a movie scene. I don't know about you but everytime I get in a car putting the seatbelt on is the first thing I do and so does the rest of my family. I think that people need to understand the importance of wearing a seatbelt and safety in general, You all need to go to an emergency room or speak to a fireman or paramedic and see how important a seatbelt is, and yes I think that as a supposed role model which she is not she's a terrible young lady go to youtube and see what shes up to. All her six year old fans may now say well Miley dosen't wear her seatbelt so why should I. I know that this money machine for Disney and her daddy dosen't care about anything. As a parent of a Miley fan I find it absurd that every chance the media gets they are picking apart these young stars. I saw the movie with my daughter and never even notcied that she was not wearing her seatbelt. Why should we blame these stars for the things our kids do? It is our job as parents to teach our children right from wrong, not the stars. Just because Miley did not have on her seatbelt does not mean that my daughter will now not wear hers. While I think it is important for our children to have "role models" to look up to at the end of the day we should be the #1 role model in our kids lives. Stop blaming everyone else for poor parenting skills.
