Mischa Barton called Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show this morning to discuss her DUI arrest last month for the first time.
"I got a DUI when I was back in LA," she said the Dec. 27 incident. "I was pulled over. Obviously, I am 100 percent responsible for my actions, and I am really disappointed in myself. I am not perfect, and I don't ever intend to do something that stupid again."
The 21-year-old former star of The O.C. acknowledged she doesn't have a valid license: "I usually try not to get behind the wheel."
"It is tough when people are talking about you all the time," she told E! News anchor Seacrest. "You just have to roll with it. I feel like I've got my head on my shoulders pretty good."

I honestly do believe Mischa when she says her head is on her shoulders. She has made a few serious mistakes lately, but she has admitted to them and I see her as being an intelligent young women who will not allow them to repeat themselves. She will get through this and in my opinion emerge as a better peron from it.

for her action, the opposite of Britney Spears Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan who deflect themselves from fault. Mischa has class.

She doesn't have a valid driver's license so she "tries" not to get behind the wheel. Maybe she should "try" a little harder. I think that shows her head's not screwed all the way on. It may be on there, but it's not secure.

She admitted she was irresponsible, and she did not deny she was drunk, so yes I think her taking responsibility for her action shows she has a good head on her shoulders, and I believe she was being truthful.
