All though Carrie was annoying and did whine to much when it came to her relationships with men especially Big the show was a lot more then sex and relationships it was more about friendship and complete honesty with your girlfriends and lets not forget the Fashion and those girls made it work.

I used to love satc, but I agree with a few others, Sarah Jessica Parker became annoying. She whinned all the time and had this little girl lost look on her face when with a man (not to mention dressed like a 13 yr old although even at 13 I never had as good a body as Sarah Jessica Parker). Typical dialogue: Miranda says - I have cancer I have two weeks to live; Carrie answers- Big Called.. everyone stops what they are doing Miranda's impending death means nothing, and so on. Obviously I made this up, but that's how it got to be for me.

SJP is ugly. But the show is Wonderful. Can't wait to see the Movie. And Mr Big's name is John. Also Just found a pic. from the
Movie were Carrie is beating Mr. Big aka John with her wedding bouquet. Wonder What's up w/ that.....

Big's name appears in the last episode of the show. It comes up on the caller ID on carrie's cell phone at the end of the episode.

I loved SATC, have the DVDs and watch them often but I agree with 'Speak English Please's' observation that when SJP became executive producer something changed. The acting was over-done, the writing was trite and SJP lost her charm and became terribly obvious and 'too-cute' -the show lost it's edge. I am still looking forward to seeing the movie and have high hopes that it will be everything it can be! --PS another thing that was over-done was Carrie's wardrobe in the second part of Season 6. Again, the wardrobe that had been an interesting part of the show became trite. Is it just me?

SATC is over. As Carrie told Big: “We’re so over we need another word for over”. Once SJP became an executive producer, she lost her charm and became too obnoxiously self-important; it’s painful to listen to her now. Also, the lack of chemistry between her and Kim Cattral is a deal breaker; it’s just not fun watching them anymore. Of course, this movie will make money but that’s the problem really isn't it? The movie is being made to make money, not because there’s a real story to tell. There’s nothing else to say about them, they’re over.

I think there should have been at least 10 series! I absolutely adore all 4 of the girls they are my inspiration!!!! I must have watched all 6 series 100 times over!!! Still i cant wait for the film to come out!!! SJP i love you!!!!!!!!!

I am over 40 and feel this show revived me! I can't wait to go to NY to do the "Sex and the City Tour"! This is the best show on any TV!

SATC is the best show ever, just jenious! Im Italian and even in this catholic country it has been a great success! I cant wait to see the movie, really hope it will mantain the same high standard...In my opinion the tv show had to last at least for 10 series, like Friends...well I think it would be great if the restarted with the tv show after the release of the movie (which will be a great success!) focusing this time on the sentimental and sexual lives of our 4 ladies now in their 40s...HBO please do it!!!!!

A friend of mine was just at a wedding with SJP last weekend. She asked her about the movie rumors. SJP seemed excited, but cautious at the same time. My friend got the impression the movie is going to happen, but there is some kind of hold up which could potentially nix the film. I hope it works out.... I loved that show. With the Sopranos ending, maybe they'll put SATC back on HBO!!!

My comment still stands. What I said has NOTHING to do with perpetuating stereotypes - it's acknowledging that they do exist.
What exactly are you mad at? That I didn't include brunettes in my description of women who are stereotypically-beautiful surgery victims?
