Hey commitment: SHUT THE HELL UP...enough already.

Having an affair is wrong, no matter how you slice it. To have the affair with your wife's friend, well...I hope his arm wasn't the only thing he broke in the wreck! What a slime ball! Yeah, sure he's good at his job. I just finished watching him in Evan Almighty. Great actor! Lousy person though. If he were passing me on the street, I may give him a dirty look. I may choose to just ignore his presence. One thing for sure, I would make sure that he knew that I look down on him as the dirty old man he has proven himself to be.

Only God can be the judge over every man's right or wrong doing, but because we as people know what God's law and man's law ordains we can, however commentt on a persons action's irregardless to who they are in the lime-light. As my grandmother use to say "right is right, and wrong is wrong no matter who you are". It seems as you get older you are suppose to get wiser in your choices. At 71 and 24 years of marriage somethings should be concrete in your life, like the vows you make to another in matrimony, infidelity NOT being an option, til death we do part, which could have easily been the case, and definately forsaken all others. I believe all things happen for a reason, when God spares your life I think it's for the purpose of giving you another chance to get yourself in order and inline with His commandments. For those who may be thinking, "well maybe that's what he's doing by going ahead with this divorce", I beg to differ with you, for one, you can't find anywhere in the word of God, that God has ordained adultery, nor leaving your spouse for another, nor invading yourself into someone's marriage, the Word of God says: commit yourselves one to another ( husbands to wives ), forsaken all others, husbands love your wives as Christ has loved the church,( Christ never had a mistress ), let no man put us under what God has joined together: Even if by chance Mr. Freeman was seperated before this affair began, it doesn't excuse the fact he has a wife, less people involved, the easier it is to work- out your differences. I hope Mr. Freeman's marriage is restored with his PRESENT wife, and also the young lady who has been given the title as his girlfriend, reallizes he has a wife, and how blessed can she possibly be even if he marries her, whenever he was never a free agent for her to pick up anyway. Maybe the accident was a warning for both of them because of their actions.

They were split since Dec. of 2007, yet they're pictured TOGETHER in April of 2008.... couldn't have been really split now huh....
I hope she takes him to the cleaners......

Don't "some" of you even read the article? It clearly states that he and his wife were ALREADY separated since December 2007!!! Ever think maybe she's the one who wanted out of the marriage? And not necessarily because he cheated. None of you know that for sure. What's he supposed to do...quit living his life? For gosh sakes, he's 71 years old and living everyday he has left here on earth to the fullest. I just wish I could hear the comeback Morgan would have to some of your idiotic comments. Alright Joyce @ 3:55 P.M., give you a break? Either you've never been married or you don't know anyone whose been divorced. I'm almost certain that MF did not have a long term plan to be going through a divorce with his wife at age 71. Unfortunately shi# happens and marriages fail everyday.

My father is 72, my mother 66. After 45 or so years of marriage we (all of their 5 children, ages 46 to 33, wish to God that they would divorce already. They've been separated for the better part of 10 years, but my Dad swears he will not initiate a divorce and my Mom will stay if only to spite him and the world. Marriages are not perfect, and not all of them are made in heaven. Life is too damned short to stay in an unhappy marriage!!!

That said, I wish Morgan Freeman all the happiness in the world, now and forever!

I knew something was up when the report said he was riding on the highway in the middle of the night with a "female friend". This story doesn't at all surprise me.

Oh Kate get a life! He is not the first person to get a divorce, I'm sure he won't be the last. Noone really goes into marriage thinking that they will get divorced, it's just something that happens when you realize that you can no longer live together. As a kid, I wished my parents would've gotten divorced (they fought like cats and dogs) but are still holding on miserably at 38 years. Morgan Freeman is a great actor and 24 years is a long time to get divorced after, how sad for them both.

leave this man alone. for a celebrity, he lives a pretty private life-and he does desearveto HAVE a life. also, it cant be enjoyable fo his wife to read all this. leave her alone too.
