Jon and Kate Gosselin met up Friday -- one day after they got into such a heated argument, police forced Kate to leave their home.

As Kate walked up to their $1.1 million house Friday afternoon, she got a big hug from one of her twins.

But she and Jon appeared somewhat strained when they chatted shortly after. Kate defensively placed her hand on her chest, while one of their twins and a few of their sextuplets looked toward the ground with serious faces. One sextuplet is seen wiping her eyes in a photo.

After the meet up, Jon drove away. The former couple have said they will trade off living in their estate depending on who has custody of the children. On Thursday evening, police ordered Kate to leave their home after she showed up unexpectedly and Jon refused to open the gate for her. "It was a miscommunication. Kate said she was coming home, and I said, 'Well, it's my time to spend with the kids.' I don't come home when she's with the kids, and vice versa -- and that's how it's supposed to be," Jon explained, adding that Kate tried to "cry it up" to convince the cop to let her stay.

In an interview today, Jon said Kate had a problem with nanny Stephanie Santoro (a 23-year-old single mother who also works as a "shooter girl" selling shots at local club Legends). Us Weekly has reported the pair had a sexy sleepover on Aug. 1.

"I guess she didn't agree with my babysitting," he admitted.
