US POLL: New Details on 90210 Spinoff Revealed!

 Everett Collection The CW's planned 90210 spinoff will center on the Mills, a family who moves to Beverly Hills from the Midwest, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Father Harry Mills, who graduated Beverly Hills High, returns to look after his alcoholic mother. He brings along his wife, Celia, their teen daughter Annie and adopted son Dixon. There are four other teen characters, including Daphne Silver, 16, and Max Silver, 20, presumably the children of David Silver and Donna Martin, who were played by Brian Austin Green and Tori Spelling and who wed in the original 90210. (Their characters are not set to appear on the show.) Production on the untitled spinoff is set to begin in April. Tell Us:

The only way I would watch this is only if some of the original cast is brought back. And the idea of having David and Donna's characters have children 16 and 20 is absurd. The show ended in 2000, and they got married (finally) just in the last episode. So I guess even though one person doesn't make a difference. I won't watch it... (and by the way it would be better if it was about Erin and Maddie.

Well most of the original cast left by the 5th season. The only ones left were Donna, David, Kelly and Steve. Then Luke Perry's character came back on the last season, but only as a guest star.

The show didnt end in 93 or 94...The last episode aired in 2000 which makes the idea of donna and davids kids being that age more ridiculous

Donna and David's kids are 16 and 20? Are they serious... who wrote the script for this show? The original show went off in either 1993 or 1994 and even if they had the kid straight out of HS the oldest would be 13 or 14.

I loved 90210 and I can't believe they aren't bringing back any of the originals - it's not like any of them have huge careers (and that's not a rank just a fact). I love Jason Priestly, Ian Ziering, Jennie Garth and Tori, bring them back and I'll watch the show. I had to laugh at the ages of Donna and David's kids - yep that is Hollywood! I won't watch unless they bring back some of the originals - it sounds like it should just be an entirely different show.

Sounds like a good idea, but at the same time, not so much. They should wait a couple more years before they do this show. The ages of David and Donna's children doesn't make sense. Someone whom is writing this story needs to learn their math. I guess they expect people not to notice those types of things. So I guess everyone will just have to overlook the plot. Its a Hollyweird thing I guess. If they're just going to have people overlook stuff, well, than they should fast forward, and pretend to have all the original characters have children and focus the show on them. Shoot, pretend Brenda got married, came back with her husband, and they have 2 children, whom are now teenagers, and have them hang out with Donna and David's kids (make all the original cast have kids). What the heck, right?

Why wouldn't this show focus on Erin Silver (David and Kelly's half sister) and Maddie Sanders (Steve and Janet's daughter). Who is going to buy the idea of David and Donna having a 20 year old? The show has only been off the air for about nine years! Even considering Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome, this is a really stupid concept.

I was really excited about the spin-off until I read the plot. Apparently the show will be taking place in 2035 since the kids are 16 and 20 cause I'm sure Donna and David didn't have kids right away. Dumb, dumb idea! Why don't they base the show off of David and Kelly's little sister??? She'd be 16 by now. Duh! Hello....that would be the obvious answer.

Forget 90210- we need to bring back Knots Landing!! That would be great. I may give this new show a try- just to see what its all about- but it will never live up to the original. But it may give jobs to the former cast mates who are barely seen anymore- except as guest stars or on Dancing With the Stars. So I suppose Andrea is about 50 now??

Laguna ....the same way Victoria Newman on the Young and the Restless went from being an 8 year old to coming home from summer came being a 16 year old teenager....it's called creative license....But the show sounds GREAT!!! Can't wait!!!

I was all excited for this but after reading the plot, not so much. I think that it is stupid to have Donna and David's children be that old. They have no plans to bring them on the show at all, so what? Their 16 year old just lives on her own? Stupid. Talk about screwing up a good idea- A little realism would have worked better. I won't be watching......And I bet a lot of others who grew up on this show won't either given the stupid plot....

I know! The kids should not be that old yet! Strange! I will only watch this if some of the old characters were in it...where is Brenda in this pic? What they should do is do a spinoff of Melrose! God i loved that show!
