I think it was irresponsible yellow journalism to follow a headline of "NEW MOM RICHIE DANCES ON CLUB BANQUETTE" with a story how she only stuck around the club 45 minutes after leaving her child with the grandmother.
Seems fine parenting to me. I work in the juvenile courts and see people you wouldn't want to scrape off your shoes who get to keep their poor children.

Another question, how in the world is she a bad parent because she wants to step out and have a little fun. As long as she and Joel attend to their baby and makes sure that the baby is healthy, she's happy and have someone responsible watching over her while they go out, I don't see what the fuss is about. My husband and I are 40 with five kids. We both work and are wonderful parents, our world revolves around our children. For all of the self-righteous, arrogant fools who choose to judge...I can not wait for you to have children. Uh hello 6:00pm im so sorry that you feel this way!!!! get with it!! that is so old fashion thinking that you cant go out after you have children. You know, mothers now n days still like to let theyre hair down and have fun. Im sooo sorry if youve never got to go out after you had kids. What was the problem finding a babysitter, or not having money to go out? Well too bad 4 u!!! Let me tell you its wonderful when you can go out, have some drinks, dance and go home after a few hours to your beautiful children. Mothers that dont do this are probably the ones you always here yelling at theyre children because they are so stressed out!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mothers AND fathers deserve some alone time!!!!

What do we really know about their parenting skills? So what, she has been out a few times. Lots of parents go out, even with young babies at home. As long as there is someone who is capable of watching the baby, then what is the problem? Does anyone posting comments know who is watching the baby? Did anyone of you see them out doing drugs, slamming cocktails? Who are we to judge what they do? Get over yourselves!

there is a difference in going out once in awhile for supper or going for a drive to have time for yourselves, its another to be going out at 12 am and going to a club, all the time even if it was for only 45 mins!! and of course they probably have a nanny, why would they raise their own child?? looks like this new mommy hasn't grown up yet...

It is great that all of you REALLY know how much she has gone out and how they are as parents. Honestly, the press could have taken old pics and put them in the rag mags to make it look like she goes out more than she does. I work in the entertainment biz - this sort of crap happens all the time with the media. There is nothing wrong with a new mom going out as long as it is not a priority over their kid and as long as they aren't boozin' it up and doing drugs. Don't be so judgemental especially when none of us knows the couple.

My problem is not that she went out. Every new parent need a little time away. But she has been out at least five times that I've seen pictures of. Five times. The baby is only five weeks old and she has left it at home five times (maybe more, I just know about five). That's bad parenting, plain and simple.
