Celebrate Christmas with Whitney Houston.
Her long-awaited comeback album is "on track for a holiday release," BMG Label Group chairman/CEO Clive Davis revealed at Billboard's Music & Money Symposium on Thursday.
"We're not going to compromise who she is to fit into today's hip-hop radio market," he added. "The public wants Whitney material."
Four songs have already been completed for the as-yet-untitled album, he said, and four more will be finished this month.
Black Eyed Peas' Will.i.am, songwriter Sean Garrett and R&B singer Akon have penned and produced tracks.
It will be Houston's first album of original material since 2002 and since her 2006 split from husband of 14 years, Bobby Brown.

Yes, I will purchase Whitney's new CD, she has always been my #1 singer followed by Mariah Carey. We have all made mistakes, but through God all things are possible and I just truly believe he has been with her through the bad times and he will continually be with her as she find her way back to the top. I was 9 years old when Bodyguard came out But there has NOT been another Singer out that can Touch WHITNEY HOUSTON. She's human and made mistakes BUT that's only going to make her comeback even greater. I would definitely buy Whitney's new album. I have been a fan of her for since the beginning. I am 23 years old going on 24 years old and have been a big fan of her since the beginning.
After all the struggles, she deserves the best and is the best. I wish her the best and have her in my prayers. I cannot wait until November. It will be here before I know it.

to the person who said that she is washed up, you dont know what are you are talking about.. Yes Whitney did do drugs, but the is in her past and she is only human.. she is not perfect and none of us are either, so look at yourself before judging anyone else.. Whitney Houston is the greatest singer of her generation, no one else had seven consectitive hits... no one... and i heard her singing about 4 months ago and her voice is getting stronger and she will come back with a killer album.. Love you Whitney, stay strong...

Definitely will buy and not the bootleg or downloaded version. Thats the real downfall of artists (only 1 million sold from stores, 5 million bootlegged(LOL), Whitney is the best. So she made some bad choices and who hasn't? A lot of people have done drugs and other things and get their props.(example-Amy Winehouse, this years major grammy winner). Why do people hate on Whit? Reclaim your spot Whit.

Absolutely! She's one of the few artists out there that has that "goosebumps" vocal quality. Even if her voice isn't at the peak it was in the early/mid-nineties, she has an incredible ability to interpret a song and make it her own. Her stage presence is stunning... how many people can just stand on a stage with a microphone and sing and inspire a standing ovation from a room full of other singers and celebrities? And of course her triumph over her personal issues deserves recognition.

I'm counting down the weeks and months until we get some new Whitney music. All of the people that keep harping on her past drug issues are just ticked off that they now have to eat crow because they thought she could never work through her demons. Get over it already. yes i will. Its funny that its been twenty years and still nobody better than her has shown up. I doubt she'll still have that enormous voice but that wasnt the only thing that made her a living legend. Her ability to present a song, especially an uptempo one, is umatched.
