Chris Martin must not obviously remember what it is like to be a kid and that children (as well as adults) can be cruel. Of course they have every right to name their children as they see fit, but use a little common sense and think about how that name is going to affect that child for the rest of his/her life. He may say *&%@ it, but you know perfectly well the rest of the world isn't going to. Just because you're in Hollyweird doesn't make you exempt from using common sense.

Poor kids! These parents should have to spend one day in their children's shoes having to answer to these horrible names. Have they forgotten how cruel children can be? Do they expect their wealth and fame to somehow exempt their children from teasing? Just think how Nicholas Cage's kid will feel when he tells people his name is Kal-El. i think parents have the right to name their kids whatever but peanut? That's ridiculous. do they want their kid to be tortured? but mathew maconaghey's [or however you spell it] brother named his kid Miller Lyte. Isn't that sad

I don't think Birdie is that bad but Peanut is just stupid. The worst one yet is that I was reading on the internet that some guy on a dare whos last name was Jones named his son Dow.

Once upon a time a parent gave their baby a name that would grow with them. They would then give their little one a pet name or nickname that would be used at home as an affectionate way of letting the little darling know how special they are. Now celebs have seen to gotten a little confused and are giving their offspring nicknames as first names. Peanut is a nickname. Birdie is the term used for canaries, the little object hit across the net in badminton, and my personal favorite, a play made on the golf course. It is a darn good thing these kids have spoiled rich parents who can afford private tutors because one can only imagine the taunting that will take place on the school playground.

It's an old name, not so bad,not like Apple, Rumor, Pax, Knox, and all the other crazy names in Nutsoland
