Bravo to the Donald! I'm so pleased to hear someone wants to help Ed McMahon. I'm facing foreclosure myself and you really become humble when this happens to you. Some become very bitter obviously since they can't be happy for someone else's good luck. I prefer to look at it as a huge lesson learned. I'm sure Ed is humbled and greatful by this gesture.

how about a normal everyday joe, like everyone else im having a hard time keeping my house of 20 years, the past year i lost my mother a year ago july, my younger sister 7 months later in a car accident, now im havng health problems because i let everything go for the past year. so what im saying will someone HELP ME? $200,000. is all i need, not $4.8 million. whos going to help me?

Thanks to Donald, I couldn't have helped Ed. I'm glad someone stepped up to the plate to help out a person who has provided me with years of entertainment. From what I have heard Ed has been out of work do to an injury, I'll bet the list below would be begging for help it the same happened to them. Thanks again Donald. ;)

How about helping the average every day person, Ed MacMahon married this bimbo, when will men learn.

Trump is BUYING the house and leasing it back to them. He is not losing any $$$$ in the process.
So, how can McMahon afford lease payments on a mltimillion dollar home when he is supposedly broke???

I don't think it's that great a gesture, there are plenty of hardworking Americans who lose their home everyday, not due to financial irresponsibility like that of McMahon and his 4th wife, but due to financial hardships and the plagued economy. It's a nice gesture I suppose, but why save a guy who was irresponsible with his millions and can no longer afford his million dollar mansion, when there are plenty of people in the world who could be saved with that amount of money.

This is very nice of The Donald. Poor Ed though, I hope everything works out ok for him.

I have been waiting patiently hoping someone in the Hollywood or wealthy set would help the guy get back on track financially and teach him how best to budget his finances so it won't happen again.

I have never liked Donald Trump. His arrogance knows no bounds. However, I realize being the nice person gets you no where most of the time anymore-been there-do that- so being pomopous really worked well for him base don his sucesses and, he has now earned my respect in doing something for a fellow man.

Granted it would be even greater gesture to save hundreds of everyday men and women from a Fannie Mae house that is facing foreclosure, but either way he did something when clearly after 3 months no other tight wad celebrity was going to.

It's very nice of Donald Trump to Buy Ed McMahon's house, sorry for spelling byeing wrong, and sell it back to him, that's what I should've said, sorry also for that mistake! The Donald will buy the house for an undisclosed amount- it was listed at $4.6 Million last weekend, down from a price of $7 Million, etc.
