Sean Penn Selling Home for $15 Million

 Kevin Winter/Getty Images Sean Penn and his wife Robin Wright Penn are unloading their five-bedroom, Spanish-style estate in Ross, Calif., in Marin County. Price tag: $15 million. Running on 2.2 acres, the 10,000-square-foot pad — which they bought in 1996 and spent more than two years remodeling — features a gym, home office, au pair suite and three-car garage, according to the Associated Press. Also on the property: A two-bedroom guest cottage, complete with a two-car garage, pool, tennis court and redwood grove. The couple — who have two children — wed in 1996. They filed for divorce in December but had proceedings dismissed in April. Penn will return to the big screen in December's Milk as Harvey Milk, the country's first openly gay elected official who was assassinated in 1978. My honey and I make good money, but he always reminds me during Saturday night bbq's with friends (when we're on the deck, looking at the bay, drinking wine) we'd never to be able to buy our dream house if we were just starting out today. We got lucky, and with the market being what it is, we're not moving any time soon! I admire how young couples today are trying to make it, when we just sorta fell into it with a lot of dumb luck.

I live just up the road from their house. They are never getting $15M for it. They totally overbuilt for the neighborhood.
