There are no guarantees in life whether you're married or unmarried, saved or unsaved, morals or no morales. Life which will bring good and bad either by the choices you make or circustances that you have no control over. Nahla is a blessing and very adorable I wish both parents all the best now and in years to come.

Oh please - we can find studies and statistics that agree with whatever viewpoint we want. Statistics are not absolute. There are other confounding factors you have to look at when you look at these "studies", many that are reported to the general public are skewed for a particular audience.

I am curious why one would have to explain to their teenagers why this couple has a child without being married. Unless you live on a compound, your children will be exposed to all types of people with different points of view, beliefs, religious practices, etc. So hopefully by the time children reach their teen years, parents have been open and honest enough to tell their children about the world they live in.

It's really interesting to read how strongly people feel about these "celebrities" and their personal lives. These people are not role models because they happen to be in films. They may be in the public eye but they are not role models. Look at the trailer trash they are trying to bring to Washington. Her 17 yr old daughter pregnant with the claim that "they are going to get married." WHEN???? They conceived a child out of wedlock. But this is a model family - now that is BS.

Get a life and stop following these highly overrated celebrities. get your children some real role models while you're at it.

What I take exception to is celebrities (or anyone) who shuns marriage but then throws the term around -- Aubry said, "We have no plans for marriage. We are more married than ever, really.” NO, you're not "more married than ever" because you don't know what it means. That's fine if you want to be partners, but you need to understand that. And Yes, I understand being legally or technically married doesn't make your relationship automatically better than anyone else's.

I was just SO happy to hear that Esquire magazine has such great taste and named Halle Berry the sexiest woman alive and NOT that lanky, awkward Angelina Jolie with bags under her eyes and odd fan shaped teeth behind those monstrous lips! What a relief that some men do still have taste! I am not black or even biracial, but I would LOVE to look like Halle. She is simply stunning in all ways- face, figure and personality.

Whatever the home environment is, I'm sure Halle and Aubry will raise their children right, whether they're married or not. I'm sure they'll both be good to their children and raise them right, and I'm sure BOTH will always be a apart of their child or children's lives. You can succeed as being a single parent, just like succeeding as being a married parent. Besides, most couples today are more likely to get divorced, and yes, even those that have been married for 10 or 20 years can still get a divorce. Not everyone is meant to be, and yes, when getting divorce, it definitely has an impact on the child, but when being a parent, you have to be the one to discuss those things with your child and just hope for the best. Point is, it is what it is.

What I can't stand is when people are having children when they're not prepared for them, especially those teen pregnancies. I was scrolling through the TV programs and I came across this show. It was about single parents raising their children and how hard it is. One of the stories really upset me...It was about this young girl who had a baby in her teens, and her boyfriend left her, and she had to depend on her family to help her out. Instead of figuring out how to make her life better and provide a better life for her child, she thought it was more important to try to find a daddy for her baby. She literally scared a guy off with her child. I thought that was so pathetic to try and find a daddy for her child, because she thought that would be best. Yeah, it's the best to just dump someone else's child on his lap, because she was a dumb lazy b*tch, that's was too busy finding men to take care of her children, when she should have be bettering yourself (finishing school, getting a job, stop going out and partying, and respect her mother and family for helping her out).
