I can't believe that some of you would actually come on here and say horrible, negative things about Heaths death. You can have an accidental overdose. He was going through a lot at that time with his movies and he wasn't sleeping. But it doesn't matter how he died or even the fact that he died, he deserved his award, and anyone that saw Dark Knight would know that and agree. He was amazing. He did not win because he's dead, he won because he did such an amazing job as the joker. Whether you agree with him getting the award or not, it doesn't matter. But have a little respect for his family, his daughter, and Michelle for their loss. Such disrespect.

Heath deserved it, he really was the last detail in an all-around great, great movie. Had he been alive, I bet he would be shocked to have won it, because I do believe he would have won it if he were alive, all the same. We lost a great actor when Ledger died but that's okay--maybe when his daughter grows up, she will take after her father and become a great actress, too. :)

if they reused images of heath in the next movie they could only do it for a short time and then would have to kill his character off adventually. Then no one else could be the joker... it would remina his last role and the last person to be the joker

They can't have a joker in the next movie cause no one can complain
they would be smart just to not putA joker in it or reuse clips of heath in it...again and again so he live on. Can u imagine if they reuse images of heath that would make a killing!!!!!!!!!!

Without Heath, Dark Night would've sucked like the first Batman. He deserved to win, This was Heath's best performance of his life.

I have seen the movie and did not think it worthy of a GG or a People's Choice. While Heath Ledger played his role well I don't believe he would have been nominated for anything had he not died of an overdose (accidental or otherwise). A lot of great actors missed getting recognition so once again Hollywood could glamorize and reward a good actor who made BAD choices. Drugs kill....when will Hollywood get it!!!!

i think that heath ledger did and amazing job in the Dark Knight. he truly was the best joker and that was the best movie by far in 2008. if anyone deserves it he does.
