Okay people..here's what I think. After reading all of your comments and assumptions, they all seem sufficient. But not all the way. Everyone is raised diferrently. You all have to know this. Actors and Actresses have something in them that no one will understand. For example; Marine Biologists..all about passion of sea, Football Players..Fighters who understand the field of attack. Every career has their own unique personality, and if you can see it clearly enough, you'll see it in each on of them. Angelina, People. Lay off. I like knifes. I've hurt animals too. Its fine if you think im insane to think what she and Brad have done is okay..but think of this..They are just few of the many other humans who can act, I mean really act. To be able to actually fit yourself in a text or writing material and bring it to life, that is an extreme talent. A mind has to be broad beyond boundries..I may be off hand..to accumulate that sort of ability. Heath Ledger...the last movie he ever made. The Dark Knight. See him in the Joker, he put himself inside the Joker. What im trying to say is, these kind of actors have what you might think a "phsychotic" way of life. But they understand more than you can imagine.

We are such a ridiculously sensationalist society today that this would even be noteworthy. Getting a knife is a landmark occasion in a boys life on par with getting your first bb-gun. It's both natural and healthy to have exposure to and respect for these items. A pocketknife is the single most useful tool in a man's toolbelt. Since the age of seven I have not gone anywhere without one, with the exception of the airplane and other high-security areas. I would feel naked without it and if I were to be lost or dropped off in the woods there's nothing I'd rather have. Sadly, so very many American's today are so far removed from the real world that they can't acknowledge that their dinner was once a chicken or cow, they haven't the slightest idea how vegetables are grown or how to hunt or butcher an animal humanely for food. It is profoundly arrogant and imbecilic to think you are better than somebody else because you don't slaughter your own meat. You are soft and in denial if you can't bring yourself to do it. I applaud her for helping her son to become a man. Part of that process is whittleing, carving, and yes, cutting your fingers. Her son is fortunate to have parents who don't try to protect him from EVERYTHING. God forbid you should grow up a craven wussy too afraid to even use a knife. Pathetic.

The major issue should be whether or not she's teaching him how to handle and respect those knives. Like any weapon, they should be handled with care and whether or not they belong to your kids, are a part of your own personal collection, or a neighbor/friend, your kids should know how serious it is to play around with them.

Crazy B!TC#! Kids should never even handle a knife...let alone own one. Honest to God, the is NO defense for that. Oh I had a cutting obsession when I was young, so I'm buying knives for my 7 yr old. CRAZY B!TC#. Why hasn't child services been knocking on their door???? Oh, yeah, they don't stay in one place long enough.

Ok, let's NOT joke about Angie being an anorexic ok? I've wondered about that myself, but it isn't something to scorn or laugh about. I'm a recovering bulimic, and while I'm NOT an Angie fan (in ANY way shape or form), I feel for her in this regard. It's not "funny". It's not something to "scorn". It's a disease, and if that's TRULY her problem, then she needs help.

Just PLEASE don't toss words like "anorexic" and "bulimic" around as a joke on blogs like this. It sincerely bothers people like me. (well, a LOT of things bother me...this one actually OFFENDS me. :P ).

Angelina is a well socialized, confident, and slick psychopath. She has aggressively re-packaged herself but it is highly doubtful that she has changed internally. Jolie has attempted to re-make herself as both a political and humanitarian figure wrapped up in a Serene Earth Mother. It would actually be hilarious if it were not so tragic. It is a person’s behavior not her manipulative sound bites, spin, and photo-ops that is representative of true character. Too bad Pitt has realized this at such a late stage of the "game" Jolie is currently orchestrating. It is quite unfortunate for many reasons.

One does not have to be a Jennifer Aniston fan to dislike Angelina Jolie. Jolie is and has always been perfectly capable of eliciting disdain without the help of another person. One can also view Brad Pitt as an unappealing and light weight chameleon and therefore not be covetous of Jolie's relationship with Pitt. One can be an attractive, intelligent, successful woman and find Jolie's statements and activities compulsive, contradictory, and disturbing. Jolie’s behavior over the years coupled with her resounding lack of credibility has culminated in a significant number of people feeling annoyed and agitated by her insincere antics.

I hope this is something that is made up,because if that is true. She is a very bad mother and needs psychological help.
