I have been trying to get justice for my son, a highly decorated Alaska National Guardsman and Sarah Palin's office ignores our pleas. All she is concerned about is seeking attention like a deceptive prima donna. Higher ambition for Palin, Generals Campbell and Kacass should be made of higher brain matter and intellect. We are proud of our son who refused to compromise his integrity in the Alaska Guard for the Generals. They still cater to their low life cronies because they can't outshine them as they don't have much gray matter. What does it take to get justice these days? It seems like citizens have grown so used to lies, cover ups, and corruption, that they have lost their reasons to fight back and be heard. I refuse to let these armchair Generals get away with injustices and I am going to keep squawking until I die.

Whoever you are knocking Alaskans, you are an illiterate jerk. Do you live in Alaska? Do you know and understand Alaska corrupt politics? Have you ever served in the Alaska National Guard commanded by rogue Generals? Have you ever had a Governor who is a big crony of the tin star Generals or a Governor who prefers power over truth? As a Guardsman in the Alaska National Guard, I have no respect for Sarah Palin. She allowed General Campbell, commander of the Guard to receive an undeserved and unprecedented 3rd star. He is a Gestappo commander and lacks integrity and ethics. Experience is nothing if it lacks judgment. We Guardsmen know that truth will never win over power but thanks for letting me vent.

You are the one who is wrong. I'm a moderate Republican. This isn't about party rhetoric, it's about honesty, integrity, and leadership of which the GOP is in short supply these days. Name one source that proves these facts are wrong. You can't. Because you don't know the first thing about Sarah Palin. What is worse is that you don't want to know.

· Any Palin leadership activities or decisions with the Alaska National Guard are practically non-existent. She has given them no direction, no commands. According to General Craig Campbell, the service commander of Alaska’s National Guard, Palin gave him substantial authority to act on his own. She has given him no direct approval or disapproval of any action since she took office.

· When Palin took office as governor, she hired at least two friends and placed them in positions for which they had zero or little experience or qualifications: Franci Havemeister, a former real estate agent, was appointed to the State Department of Agriculture; Talis Colberg was appointed Attorney General. Talis was virtually an unknown and former assemblyman of the small Borough of Matanuska-Susitna. State legislators have complained that Governor Palin isolates herself, has been a chronic "no-show" at certain important legislative meetings, and has not responding to the communications and needs of a number of mayors and authorities throughout Alaska.

· Palin vetoed/slashed budget programs and projects during her first months in office that had to be re-instated due to public protest and further legislative action, simply because she didn't understand their importance. She didn’t know what she was doing. She has been under fire for her terrible track record on the environment, and for trying to remove sovereignty rights from native Alaskans in order to develop commerical fishing and hunting.

Palin cut property taxes for the town of Wasilla – not the State of Alaska. Reason? She initially supported a newly created 2% sales tax, and increased it by a half percent while Mayor. The overall taxes actually increased while Palin was Mayor. While Mayor of Wasilla, Sarah Palin hired Steven Silver – a partner in a private lobbying firm in Anchorage -- to lobby for $23 million in federal earmarks for the Town of Wasilla (6,000 residents). She increased spending by 50% while mayor of Wasilla, and left Wasilla with a $20 million dollar deficit, which created an additional tax burden for its residents.

As far as education funding increases, this was accomplished by the State legislature – not Palin. Palin actually threatened to veto their budget proposals. She relented when lawmakers threatened to override her veto.

You are correct about the fact that Palin signed the Senate Bill 4 for the Senior Benefits Program.

Palin’s popularity has plummeted recent months, which is not surprising, down to 63%. Still high, but the honeymoon is definitely over. I’m still waiting for an answer to my question, but I’ll give you more time to do a little homework. My next post will give you a starting point.
