Beyonce Finally Admits She Married Jay-Z

Beyonce is finally breaking her silence on her hush-hush wedding to Jay-Z.

The singer, 27, tells November's Essence that she kept their April wedding at Jay-Z's NYC apartment quiet and small because she is not a "traditional woman."

She adds, "It's been my day so many days already."

Despite being engaged, she never confirmed rumors or wore a ring.

"People put too much emphasis on that," says the singer, whose new album drops Nov. 18. "It's just material, and it's just silly to me."

(Instead, the couple have matching IV tattoos on their ring fingers. They were each born on the fourth day of a month - Beyonce on September 4; Jay-Z, December 4. They wed on April 4.)

Beyonce -- who's been dating the rapper since 2002 -- says she wasn't surprised when they walked down the aisle.

"We've been together a long time," she says. "We always knew it would happen."

"What Jay and I have is real," she goes on. "It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real."

Jay-Z recently hinted at a desire to have a baby.

"Most people I guess dream of having a family some day," he told reporters in NYC, "so I'm just a regular American boy."

...not about the interviews or right photo op? Peculiar timing then, that she "finally breaks her silence" to discuss this upon the realease of her TWO new singles!!! Don't patronize your public. If an engagement ring was "just material" to you, you wouldn't be walking around with a 5-million, 18 carat diamond ring since your "hush hush wedding". They know very well what they are doing. To keep your wedding secret and private is one thing, but to not comment on it one way or another AFTER the fact, only proves they like the publicity. They want to keep people geussing and wondering and talking. It works.

But in this same interview (essence) she admits that she does have a weddingband (next to the tattoos they already had). the ring that we saw pictured and wich is worth about 5 million dollars (or thats what people say).

i mean whats not material and silly about that 5 million dollar ring.

she really is a hypocrit and silly by saying to different things, dont ya think?

Congrats to the Carter's and the Knowle's, especially Solanje, whom has spread her wings. I agree with Beyonce', she and the public knew they were going to wed, they were made for each other. I saw an interview where she stated, she too wanted to be a regular a/k/a traditional MOM, whom cooks and clean for her family. According to her, she's accomplished things that most of us will never in our lifetime. Yet, here she says she NOT a TRADITIONAL woman when referring to wedding. In her defense, Beyonce' always try to please her fans, so when she states one thing and say another, I don't think she does it intentionally, nor frequently enough for anyone here to complain. She and Jay love have true love, not marry for the sake of record sales kinda love. I wish them the best and I hope they fill their home with healthy little B and J's and love!
