ok...you see that some of these people are saying that its a sin and all that stuff about god...but if they really think about it...who created us and our personalities and our looks?
if god did all that, then who do you think made people gay or bisexual or lesbian?

The word "marriage" is defined between a man and a woman. I am sickened by the "my lifestyle does'nt affect you, why are you complaining about us gays/lesbians getting married..were in love" WELL SORRY TO INFORM YOU BUT..this does affect me and everyone else! We are bombarded by gays/lesbian lifestyle in the media..school system..everywhere! After all you choose this sinful lifestyle, you were not born GAY. The living GOD does'nt make mistakes. People do make mistakes with reprocutions that are eternal. There is no line of distiction in our society. If it feels good do it? Everyone deserves to be loved? Just think, in the future men and women will be wanting to marry their dog, because they love them! There is no middle, there is a right and a wrong. I love the saying, mis-used.."let him without sin cast the first stone".First of all the woman in the bible repented from her sins.(acknoledge it, did not continue sinning}There's a big difference. It's not like the word of God did'nt warn us of things to come. It's gonna get alot worse, this is a direct result of "sin".

i believe in marriage between a man and a woman because i grew up in a household with a man and a woman. i am a christian person and i think gays should not have rights to marry. if you read the bible, it says it in the ten commandments in exdous. so really these gay people will go to hell just because of their beliefs. it is true what the bible tells you. i am a firm believer in marriage between a man and a woman so let these christian people say what they want because it is very true what they are saying....
well as far as brat pitt and angie, and gays and lesbos, well i have one thing to say, they have to answer to GOD about what they are doing.

Do any of you Christian's really step back and read what you just wrote? Didn't Jesus teach love your brother, tolerance, and let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Even that Jesus and God love ALL of their children. I believe you are all forgetting that and instead scared that a gay couple could love each other more than a straight couple could. Gay marriage only effects the two people that are in that marriage.

Love is love regardless of gender involved!

I bet you wouldn't be happy if someone told you that you chose to be straight, were discriminated against, and had people pick on you non-stop for being yourself. Well here we go, Marriage is in the bible a constitution between a man and a woman, so that is the take on the religious aspect of it, and yes I respect that you feel and agree with that, what I have a problem with is this.. We the United States has a lot to offer everyone who wants freedom, and we employ that to all who want it. Why do we seem to have a problem with Gays who want to be free in what they believe, that is the same thing, leaving religion out of it.. we have already had too many debates over that issue. We don't have the right to pass judgement on anyone, and yet, you all seem to forget that. Look in the mirror, is your spouse cheating on you, are you divorced, are your kids living in seperate houses, are you looking at women or men in a sexual tone, who do not live with you, or are married to you.. Probably so, because we are human, and we have wants and needs. So Let's stay out of the lives of those who want to be together, have the same benifits as you do, Medical insurance, and when we are dying, not have any legal issues about whether we should let our S/O make decisions for us.. We need and want to live happy, and content just as you are. So keep your prejudices to yourselves, and look at your own lives, they are not perfect.. Let us live ours, and Let us Marry who we desire, just as you did.. Life is too short to worry what happens tomorrow. so vote No on Proposition 8

What’s one thing that could save Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie from Splitsville? "Lube Jobs,”.....Brad is bisexual and so is Angelina, they live a decadent, Hollywood lifestyle. They are the epitomy of a modern swinging couple and to think they want to bring up kids around that equation. It's all smoke and mirrors. Brad has something for George Clooney. Many in Hollywood have lost the old fashioned morals that are God given.I am so sick of them saying everyone should have rights to live how they want as long as they are not hurting anyone. And the answer to the one that keeps saying marriage is a sacred term. I am a heterosexual who believes that they have the right just like us. It is obviously a sacred term to them as well that is why they are fighting so hard for it as well. So stop using the term hijacking the word because you sound ridiculous- how many heterosexual people got married just because and ended up divorced? so please get over yourself..

Because my marriage is no different than yours, so why call it something else? The point is, no matter what you legislate, you can't stop me from having a commitment to another person that is as meaningful and fulfilling as any straight marriage is (or more meaningful and fulfilling for that matter). So how about you don't worry about what words I use to define my relationship and I won't worry about what words you use for yours.

Again I just don't get how we define our relationship affects anyone outside of myself and my wife.

THANK YOU! I couldn't have said it better myself. Stop trying to redefine what "marriage" is. You can still have the same rights and protections as married couples, but stop trying to HIJACK this sacred word! It's a WORD, get over it. I am a woman who is happily MARRIED. My WIFE and I are extraordinarily happy and perfect for one another.

So how does me calling her "my wife" rather than "my partner" change or hurt your relationship with your husband? I fail to see the problem. I believe that a MARRIAGE is when two people commit to share their lives,to walk through this crazy world together. To us, it is not a religous union, or even a legal one. It is a vow we took to love and take care of one another.

Why difference does it make if I call her my "life partner", my "wife", my "bff", my "sweet pea" or my "coffee table" for that matter?

Obviously, you didn't tune in to the well-publicized interview
that Obama had with Pastor Rick Warren a couple of weeks ago
where he was asked about gay marriage and he replied that he
believed marriage should be between a man and a woman, but he
was for civil unions....Hillary was asked the same question by
Melissa Etheridge (a lesbian),during the democratic primary run,
and she also said that marriage should be reserved for a man
and a woman....I saw both interviews on tv...google them.

And by the way, to all that people arguing that Brad and Angelina should be donating for other causes, I think you people should get better informed. These two guys are among the celebrities making the biggest contributions, money, presence and campaigns on behalf of many social and economic causes. Many of them under the radar of the press, because at this point, the less they need is publicity.

He isn't doing it so people say he's a good person. He is doing it because it is something he is passionate about. I support Gay Marriage to the fullest. I know that they deserve the same rights as straight people. They deserve the right to go see their loved on at a hospital and to make life decisions for them (when the person they love is unable to make those decisions). You are right though, he can throw his money around but he might still have been a liar, cheater, and an adulter, but then again so was McCain and look at him... he's running for President.
