Nashville hates Taylor Swift.I work there 4days a week in and out of studios.Never have I heard a good word about Taylor Swift.GET REAL,PEOPLE. A singer she is not.A song writer she is not with out co-writers.A performer she is not.A squinty,eyed, tall blonde with clumsy feet,and with a 6years olds voice,SHE IS!!!!!!

Amen ppl you said it, Taylor couldn't sing to save her life! Plus, her music is SO not country. GO CARRIE!!! :)

Which of them recently did that chewing gum commercial on TV? The one where the blonde spokesmodel puts the rest of the pack in the right front pocket of her blue denim cut-offs? I initially thought it was Lee Ann Rimes. But, after seeing the above two photos, now, I'm not so sure.

This sums up what I think of Taylor Swift:

One day I clicked over to Nashville Star and a young, pretty girl was singing...sooooo badly. I thought, "wow, how did she make it this far?" Then I thought, "she's definitely getting booted"! Imagine my surprise when I found out she was the guest performer...Taylor Swift. I'm sorry, but this girl cannot sing! She's adorable, but clearly the only reason she is famous is she is "Commercial". When she grows up a little and has to satisfy an older crowd, her popularity will drop like a rock. She better enjoy the teeny-bopper love-fest while she can!

T. Swift in a category with Allison Krauss? The ultimate irony. What you have here is one "artist" and one ARTIST. Allison Krauss paints a song with her voice like Rembrandt with a brush. She is also a fabulous musician, and a beautiful woman with an elegant, understated style. Taylor Swift wails away, hanging precariously between pitches, on songs about 9th-grade tragedies. Her heart-felt songs about stalking boys and burning pictures are perfect for her target audience of teeny-boppers, as she stalks around the stage slinging her hair and trying to be a rock star. What has become of real country music? I miss it. If you want to hear a REAL singer and a person who knew how to write, listen to the late Keith Whitley sing "I'm No Stranger to the Rain". That is what country music is all about.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who picked up on the fact that Taylor Swift can't sing. I'm sorry, but she can't even carry a tune on her CD's. I really don't know how she got as far as she has - props to her for being able to write songs and melodies, but she really shouldn't sing until she's had some voice coaching.

I don't listen to a lot of country music. I've heard and seen so much of Taylor Swift lately and even liked one of the songs my pre-teen daughter played for me . I was so curious to see what all the hoopla was about that I sat around waiting to hear her perform live on tv the other night. After the first few notes left her mouth I was shocked! It was horribly out of tune and I couldn't even finish listening to the song without turning the channel. She's a pretty girl and I hear she has a talent for writing, but she certainly can not sing live.

Taylor Swift.....uh....no! She can't sing live for squat! She only sounds decent on her CD! Big hint there! Your voice can always be altered in the studio! Hmmm...I smell a "country music" phony! That probably explains why her CDs always sound like bubblegum pop, due to the studio! I repeat; Taylor cannot sing live. Her brainless 8-16 yr. old fanbase are what I like to call "tone deaf". That is where she is getting her sales from...little kids and high schoolers begging their parents to buy her putrid songs. Her songs have been "teeny bop" from the start! I got news for you folks....she is not country music! I'll tell you what she is....a shame to country music and the music industry in general! She raps Eminem songs at her "country music" concerts as a so called "opening act", leaving her fans braindead and confused, "rocks out" banging her head with Def Leppard on stage (poorly by the way), and now spends more time on MTV than country stations GAC and CMT! I say; GOOD! STAY ON MTV! Maybe MTV will convince you to transfer over to pop music! That way, we won't have to hear your so called "country music" on country radio anymore! She recently cried when TRL was cancelled! Shows she cares more about MTV (especially her precious TRL) than GAC and CMT! A real country artist (and a person who respects and likes country music) would not cry if an MTV show cancelled. They would most likely care less. Now, if it were a long running show on say GAC or CMT that they liked, then that is understandable.

If you want to listen to REAL country music that is ON KEY and NOT all about high school drama, then take a listen to great artists like Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffett, George Jones, George Strait, Carrie Underwood, Randy Travis or Garth Brooks! Those are the true country stars!

People, open your ears! WHY is Taylor Swift famous? Are we so preoccupied with looks that we ignore the fact that you need TALENT too? Taylor Swift is pathetically off key, and the poor girl should be paid to stay AWAY from any microphone. Whenever she opens her mouth to sing, she makes a fool of herself. She needs someone to be honest with her. She's in the Neil Young vocal category- Tone Deaf. She should stick to writing. I think that will improve as she matures, and the melodies of the songs she writes are okay.

Taylor Swift got to where she is not by looks or talent but by the money of her daddy!!

I just watched Taylor Swift on the 2008 CMA’s. I have seen her sing a few times on TV and was trying to figure out how she made it that far. She cannot sing. Even my daughter, who likes her, finally had to admit that she cannot sing.

I Googled “Taylor Swift can’t sing” and found this discussion. I am glad to see that many other people feel the same way.

She reminds me of Pia Zadora, many years ago, who won an Academy Award for “acting”. It came to light that her husband had “invested” (to the right people) millions to get her there. She soon faded away.

Give Taylor a TV sitcom to take advantage of her popularity with kids and get her out of the singing business. There have to be hundreds of diserving young girls who can actually sing who would give anything to get an opportunity like Taylor’s.

Taylor Swift is the Nashville Cardboard Cutout Superstar designed by the suits who claim to know talent. When I see this poor girl perform I'm so embarrassed for her. I know LOTS of great songwriters who have the common sense to know that they're not a performer. Taylor may be a great songwriter but if her talent is all that it takes to make the big time then Nashville has definitely lowered the bar. Bubble-gum flavored pop country designed for kids may have its place on the Disney Channel but placing her in the same category with deserving artists is insulting to both the artists and music fans everywhere. Def Leppard singing Taylor Swift songs - who is she to share a stage with a great band like this - the only good thing about the Def Leppard / Swift pairing is that it marks the first time I've ever heard a Taylor Swift tune performed on key. I'm so glad to see that the Nashville suits are beginning to fail and the proof lies in Taylor Swift - she may be a sweet girl but Nashville has probably ruined any chances of REAL success she may have one day had based on the merits of her own REAL talent. Winning the Nashville Popularity Contest is a long long way from convincing her peers, contemporaries and constituents that she even deserves to be on the same show. I remember when she beat Little Big Town in a recent awards show. An awesome group, awesome songs, tight harmonies and bubble-gum free and the award goes to none other than Taylor Swift. I'm happy she has a fan base - thrilled she has found success (bogus as it may be) but I'm also happy that I don't know a single person who buys this Nashville crap or Taylor Swift albums either
