Catherine Zeta-Jones Says Farewell to Namesake Grandmother

 WENN Catherine Zeta-Jones is mourning the death of her 91-year-old grandmother. Zeta-Jones — from whom the Hollywood star took her stage name — died in Swansea, south Wales, last week, according to BBC News. A cause of death was not reported. The actress, 38, joined more than 150 mourners at a funeral service Thursday. Her husband, Michael Douglas, and her children, Dylan and Carys, were not with her. Wearing a black dress with a black lace cardigan, the Oscar-winning star read William Wordsworth's "Daffodils," her grandmother's favorite poem. She was accompanied by her parents as she left the church to make her way to Swansea Crematorium. Her grandmother's coffin was surrounded by white floral tributes, including one reading "Zeta", in the hearse. A message from Jones' family on the order of service read: "The family wish to express their sincere thanks for all the kindness and sympathy extended to them in their bereavement and also to all who attended the funeral." The actress has always remained close to her grandmother, even flying in from Bermuda just to bring flowers for her birthday earlier this year. to 1:36 - not necessarily. My mother is 81, and I am 43. So, Catherine's mother and she could both be younger than 71 and 51, respectively. That being said, I did hear a report on the radio this morning that an insurance company leaked Catherine's age as 51. The reporter said that the insurance agent asked Catherine to produce a birth certificate for a policy. Dunno if it's true or just more spin.

Catherine is so beautiful and yes, I do think she resembles the late Natalie Wood. She looks 38. In fact she and I are just a day apart. This would make her one day older than myself. I don't think she looks 51.

It's nice how Catherine and her grandmother remained close through the years, even going so far as to fly into Bermuda, just to bring her flowers for her b-day earlier this year, etc.

I am so sorry to hear that Catherine Zeta-Jones Grandmother passed away last week in Swansea, Wales, and that Catherine went to the funeral on Tuesday with 150 mourners, her husband and kids weren't there!
