Charlie O'Connell "Honored" Jerry and Rebecca Named Twin Girl After Him

Jerry O'Connell's brother Charlie tells Usmagazine.com "it's a real honor" that the actor and wife Rebecca Romijn named one of their newborn twin girls after him.

"The spelling is the same way that they spell my name, so if I get into trouble with credit one day, I can always use hers," the former Bachelor star joked in a telephone interview Monday.

It was Jerry's idea to name one of the girls Charlie, which is "the greatest name ever," he joked. "Rebecca came up with Dolly.

The girls -- who were born Dec. 28 -- are "real cute," he told Us. "Charlie looks more like Jerry, and I think Dolly looks more like Rebecca."

The new parents, Charlie added, "are doing really good. I think they're not really getting that much sleep, which is to be expected. At any given time, one of them are up."

So will Charlie and girlfriend Sarah Brice be giving Dolly and Charlie cousins anytime soon?

"As far as I know, no," he said, laughing. "That's not really my
intention. I'm not really like, 'Oh, let’s make cousins!'"

my name is halina (pronounced halleenah), so i'm all for exotic and weird names.i love the name charlie for a girl but if its a nick name for charlene or charlotte. dolly is not really my style. i think "cutsie" names are fine. its when you start naming them after fruits (apple martin.. when she hits 21 its "apple martini" waiting to happen) and aliens (kal-el cage (nicolas cage).. poor kid.)thats when parents need to stop back and think about how the child will feel answering to that name and not how it makes the parents feel when they get attention for having these children with weird names! i hope that makes sense.

and if this website is not your cup of tea, please be polite and remove yourself. when people stop being hateful and disparaging instead of just quietly leaving, i think thats when we won't need to be "spending more time thinking how bad things are with the world" because there will be less bad things!

I'm gettin my 2 cents in !!! Charlie and Dolly are good names...and congrats are in order ! My grandsons name is Orion Stone and it fits him to a tee...Ididn't like the name before he arrived now.......I love it...but my sons' name is Grady (Orions' father) and i like the slightly unusual names. There are billions of people in this world and we shouldn't all go along the same trends and have similar names. Someone's going to have to break out of the box some time.

WHO THE HELL CARES IF THE CHILD'S NAME IS UNUSUAL?

Should we all conform? Should we all be like sheep? Should we all get our vaccines, eat Wal-Mart food, go to government child warehouses a.k.a. public schools, and be named Emily and Michael?

What is wrong, exactly, with breaking the mold, other than it scares the other slaves when one of their own dares defy the rest of society?

I have two children and they both have unique, old-fashioned names and society will just have to deal with it. And my children will hold their heads up high and be proud to be different, by damn.

All of you make me sick.

Not everyone likes every name. For example: I love the name
"helana Lynn" for a girl & my mom doesn't like it. However, if I have a girl she will just have to get used to it.

Out of all the baby names that are different, but pretty, I like Jessica Alba's little girls name, Honor. Very pretty, delicate, and different, Suri is another name I like too.

Congratz Rebecca and Jerry on the birth of your twins. Regardless of what people are saying about the names, it is no one's business but your own to name your daughters whatever name you choose. There are more important things in life than to comment on names people. How about that they are healthy, and were born into a 2 parent household.

You think your kids have the most beautiful names? I'm quite sure Rebecca and Jerry think the same thing. That is why they chose to name THEIR girls Dolly and Charlie. It's meaningful to them. They could care less what you think.

And you write this post as if your kids names are the best. Awful, just awful. The only name (out of the five) that sound half way decent is Delilah. That's why before you talk bad about someone else, you better be near perfect. Those names...you gotta be joking. I'd rather name my kids Charlie and Dolly any day. of course YOU think YOUR children have beautiful names! what parent doesn't? Just because you don't agree doesn't mean these aren't perfect names for Rebecca and Jerry!!!
