Charlie Sheen & Wife Expecting Twin Boys

 Michael Buckner/Getty Images Charlie Sheen and his wife, real estate investor Brooke Mueller, are expecting twin boys, Sheen's rep confirms to Usmagazine.com. See photos of other stars with twins. In June, the pair joked that they were hoping for triplets. "Could you imagine if I really had triplets? He'd be like, 'Whoa!'" Mueller told Extra. The two met in 2006 through Eric Dane and actress Rebecca Gayheart. Sheen popped the question last summer with a $500,000 custom-designed 11-carat yellow diamond and platinum ring from jeweler Lord Alon Barak. They wed in front of about 60 close friends and family in a small ceremony in Beverly Hills on May 30. In August, Sheen and Mueller confirmed they were expecting. “Brooke and I are thrilled! She’s the best stepmom Sam, Lola and Cassandra could ever hope for," Sheen, 42, told Usmagazine.com referring to his daughters Sam, 4, and Lola, 3 (with ex-wife Denise Richards), and Cassandra, 23 (with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt). Okay, I am glad I am not the only one that thinks these babies were not made the old fashioned way. I can almost guarantee they went through PGD to ''hand select'' the male producing sperm. They had just found out they were having twins and already knew the sex? I don't think so. Even with the advances in ultrasounds, it's almost impossible to tell before 14 weeks. And being implanted really increases your chance at multiples which would explain twins. I would be willing to bet a great deal that they did pick out their babies gender, especially since Charlie was so obvious that he wanted a son.

It is not possible for them to know the gender of the babies yet unless they picked the genders before they got pregnant. You typically don't find out the baby's gender until you are 18-22 weeks and she was probably only 8 weeks when they started saying they were having boys. They probably sperm sorted and only inserted boy sperm which is why they are having boys and also why they ended up with twins. Just goes to show you money can buy you anything!

its kinda sad how people like to bash charlie; so hes made mistakes in his past; who hasnt? i actually felt a little bad for him while denise divorcing him; she drug his name thru the mud; ran & ran her mouth; all the while charlie handeled himself with much more class. denise slept with her friends husband; what kind of decent woman does that? shes no saint.im glad that charlie moved on; started anew; & i hope the best for him & brooke.

They are rich (well Charlie is) so if he wants twins, then like a slew of recent twin celebrity births, he can have them. Perhaps boys as well. Who cares? I just hope Brooke has a safe birth and two healthy boys. Congrats to the two of them-much blessings.

Stacy is correct, Charlie and Brooke could have had this done, and for those that don't believe in this process, there is a such thing and can be done. It's called Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis (PGD). The technique can be used to determine the gender of the embryo, and thus can be used to select embryos of one gender in preference of the other in the context of "family balancing." With using PGD, IVF (in vitro) can be used. Costs are substantial though for anyone who wants to use this method. Many call this procedure "designer baby." PGD can also screen for genetic issues as well. She's also correct about doing this process with the eggs through IUI (instrauterine insemination) or through IVF. Like Stacy said, in case of IVF, doctors will use 2 embryos. So Charlie and Brooke CAN use selective gender if they chose to do so, because if you remember, Charlie said he really wants a boy, so this method can be used, and it does exist to do so.

I think that it is wonderful that Charlie & Brooke are expecting twin boys. It's about time that Charlie and Brooke have something to look forward in their lives together. Congratulations to you both. I don't care what the magazines/papers have to say about Charlie, I think that he and Brooke will make wonderful parents. Actually 10:41 Mary, Charlie Sheen was married twice. Once to Donna Peele who is a model. They were married in 1993 and divorced sic months later. Denise Richards is his second wife and the poorest excuse for a mother who parades those kids around like prizes to be photographed at her will. Good luck to Mr. and Mrs. Sheen (congrats on the twins)and let's hope that Richards can just let it be and not ruin Brooke's happiness. Hey Denise, it's not about you this time. Leave them alone and out of the press you create for attention you'll never get otherise.

Charlie Sheen has the number one rated comedy on television. Even the reruns this summer were in the top 10 consistently. I guess that's why he's on tv I would suspect. I love 2 and a Half Men and wish the two of them all the health and happiness ever-most of all for the health of the two new little babies on the way.
