Cheryl Burke: My Partner "Made Me Forget About" My Weight Scandal

Maurice Greene - the latest Dancing With the Stars casualty - tells Usmagazine.com his time on the ABC show has been "a rollercoaster ride.

"It's a lot of ups and downs. But at the end of every rollercoaster, you always feel good!" he told Us Tuesday after his elimination.

The 34-year-old Olympic gold medalist and partner Cheryl Burke received a total score of 48 out of 60 from judges for their quickstep and paso doble routines Monday.

Still, he told Us, "I feel good. This is something that I had a blast doing. It was a challenge for me, and I think that I was able to conquer the things I needed to conquer in this - and I would say I succeeded!"

So would Burke, his partner.

"He worked so hard. I'm so proud of him," she told Us. "There were ups and downs, but no matter what, he still held his head up high and made it through every week."

Added Burke, "His dancing has improved, but he's always been really fun and positive. He's been a great influence in my life in that way, with all the other crap that's been put out about me this season, the last thing I want to do is go into the studio and work. But he made me look forward to doing it every day and put a smile on my face and made me forget about all that other crap."

The four remaining celebrity contestants -- Brooke Burke, Lance Bass, former NFL star Warren Sapp and Hannah Montana star Cody Linley -- will compete in the semifinals

Cheryl need to feel good about herself.As long as she is happy and feeling good,that's all it matters.I suggest she get some help, maybe a little theraphy if this is affecting her too much.With all the pressure and the nature of her job,she need to find a way to rise above this.She is very talented and a gorgeous woman and i hate to see her giving in to to the pressure like this.Keep smiling Angel!

She look heavier than the previous seasons but nowhere close to be called fat.She is beautiful and her dancing were not affected by the slight gained weight.That is what the people should be focusing on.

As for Cheryl,honey you gotta have to try a little harder to put this behind you.You fought back and you have delivered a wonderful message loud and clear to young women today.Now,time to focus on what needs to be done.If you let this get to yourself and let it affect your self-esteem,confidence and what you do best (your wonderful dancing and over all talent), then you lose.You really need to move on,and find a way to be happy and charming again.I agree about the other poster here that what happened to that bubbly,confident,charming,gorgeous dancer we all have fallen in love with?You need to get pass this and bring that energy back.This is getting a little tiring and redundant.You need to look at yourself and focus on what you need to do to get back in track,next time comeback stronger than ever,livelier and more focus and determined.That is the only way you can get back to your critics harder.God Bless and Pay no attention to any of it.It comes with the territoy,better be used to the limelight and scrutiny.

Cheryl is absolutely beautiful, inside and out, and anyone telling a woman who looks the way she does that she's lacking something or that she's too "fat," well, they need to get their heads examined. People like Edyta and Julianne look great too, and they're very slight of frame, but Cheryl isn't quite so slight, but just barely, and she's fat? Yeah right. Everyone is different. People who have a problem with her probably have a problem with themselves because to be so vicious, you're coming from something deeper. Cheryl, I know you're not reading this because reading all the comments about your weight, whether positive or negative, has to be emotionally grueling, but I just have to say that you're a role model. You're an example of an athlete who is fit and healthy and all young girls appreciate that. I don't want an emaciated dancer who doesn't have enough energy to actually do her job dancing on the show, and you and the rest of the women prove that healthy and fit isn't one size fits all. Size 4 is no less healthy than size 2 or size 0, it's just a different size.

Cheryl is gorgeous -and graceful, athletic, talented, etc. Max is so superficial and meanspirited to think that the audience- us- will not appreciate her beauty as she is - Edyta for example, has a completely different body type- also natural but no better or worse - just different -I think that the only body type that I don't like to see is the silicone enhanced blonde girl Kim- the others are all naturally beautiful.

I can't believe about that whole weight thing in the first place!! She is a beautiful size and I think she has a wonderful body!! It did make me sad this week though when both her dresses totally covered up her body, when her dresses usually don't. Made me think all that stuff made her self conscious.
