Christina Applegate: I'm Ready to Be Hugged Again!

On Friday's Ellen DeGeneres Show, Christina Applegate says she didn't tell anybody on the set of her ABC sitcom Samantha Who? about her breast cancer diagnosis for five weeks.

"I told my make-up and hair people, and people that are really close to me, just so I had a protection wall so that no one was pushing me," said Applegate, 36. Joking, she added, "because they do that a lot on my set. They just shove me ... just randomly for no reason."

These days, Applegate told DeGeneres, she's doing "so much better" than when she saw her at the "Stand Up to Cancer" benefit in September.

"I was really ... afraid of people hugging me," she said. "People are really huggy at those things."

Replied DeGeneres (whose mom is also a breast cancer survivor), "I apologize, I hugged you."

"Really hard too!" Applegate joked. "But know, I’m good. I’ll grab ya."

Said DeGeneres, "I'm going to hug you a bunch during this commercial break...."

...She really could have said, "But know..." as in, "But know this..." However, I suppose it's much easier to tear people down than build them up. Grammatical mistakes irk me, as well. It's just not necessary for me to dog out US Mag writers to make me feel better.

I don't know who has been writing the articles for this site lately but whoever it is needs a spelling and grammar lesson. I find mistakes in almost every article. "But know, I am okay now"? How about "But NO..."? I guess anyone of the street can get a job at US. How embarrassing for them!

Alot of people care about her and apparently you do to since you not only clicked on the article but took time out of your precious day to make a comment! Hope you never have to battle any serous disease and if you do i hope people show you more sympathy than you're showing Christina Applegate!

It's really nice that Christina Applegate is ready to be hugged again! I can understand why she didn't tell everybody on The Set of Samanthat Who,? about her diagnosis, and it's funny in a way that she says Ellen DeGeneres was hugging her too hard, etc.
