Clint Eastwood Beats Hudson, Hathaway at Weekend Box Office

78-year-old Clint Eastwood had the best movie opening of his career as Gran Torino earned $29 million in its first weekend of wide release, nabbing the No. 1 spot. (Eastwood is also up for a Golden Globe for his performance at Sunday's show.)

Bride Wars, starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, came in second with $21.5 million, while the horror film The Unborn ranked third with $21.1 million.

Jennifer Aniston's doggy dramedy Marley & Me -- which topped the box office the last two weekends -- was No. 4 with $11.4 million, while ex Brad Pitt's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was No. 5, with $9.4 million.

It was a great movie, one of the best I have seen in a long time.
ALOT of humor in it. His timing was impeccable.
I'm so sad though, seeing as how he said this would be the last film he starred in. I can understand why, but he is a living legend and he makes
great films. I will gladly go see it again. & definitely buy it on dvd when it's released.

very sad movie but i loved it! clint eastwood did an amazing job but the asian actors were a bit disappointing. but they did alright for their first acting jobs.

I saw this movie and I thought that it was the best movie that I have watch in a long time, Clint Eastwood gives a outstanding performace in the film.

i knew i should of seen Clint Eastwood movie instead of Bride wars. Bride wars was not that good. I mean they had some funny moments, but it was more of movie to rent then to go to the movies. It was not that great

I'll have to see it next weekend. Love Clint! A bunch of us girls saw Bride Wars and thought it was really great. One of the best chick flicks i have seen in some time. Anne and Kate are super funny.
