Clint Eastwood Beats Hudson, Hathaway at Weekend Box Office

78-year-old Clint Eastwood had the best movie opening of his career as Gran Torino earned $29 million in its first weekend of wide release, nabbing the No. 1 spot. (Eastwood is also up for a Golden Globe for his performance at Sunday's show.)

Bride Wars, starring Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, came in second with $21.5 million, while the horror film The Unborn ranked third with $21.1 million.

Jennifer Aniston's doggy dramedy Marley & Me -- which topped the box office the last two weekends -- was No. 4 with $11.4 million, while ex Brad Pitt's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was No. 5, with $9.4 million.
