Dakota Fanning Reaches Out to Grieving Singer Jennifer Hudson

 Matt Carr/Getty Images Dakota Fanning has reached out to her Secret Life of Bees costar Jennifer Hudson, who is grieving over the murders of her mother, brother and 7-year-old nephew. "I have spoken to her. I have been in contact with her," Fanning told Usmagazine.com at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Tuesday in Palm Springs, Calif. "I can't imagine what she is going through, but she knows the whole cast is there for her, and I love her.” See Jennifer Hudson's touching family photo album. Hudson -- who just earned four Grammy nominations for her debut album -- is expected to sing the songs of Neil Diamond at MusiCares Person of the Year gala on Feb. 6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Whoever raised that little girl, whether it's her parents or her handlers, agents, managers, whoever it was, they did a good job. Every time I've seen that kid interviewed, she's bright, mature, polite, articulate and very, very interesting. And she's just a kid. A lot of adults should aspire to handle the spotlight like this kid has. What a gracious young lady.
