I do not belong to PETA because I cannot endorse 100% of what they believe. HOWEVER, they are right on the money with Fur. There is a huge difference in taking an animals life to sustain yourself (and that should be done humanely and fast). But fur is a result of a pure vanity kill - no food there, only vanity. People constantly amaze me at how willing they are to look completely ignorant! If you don't know the reality of the fur industry, then don't spew, ignorant, shock value propaganda and blatant lies just to be heard!! It shows stupidity. The fact is, and I know it's a fact, the fur industry is barbaric. (socrates!!) NO fur farm is humane! Torture IS the standard. You don't think you can torture without messing up a pelt? PETA is a crappy organization and spreads the propaganda of fear. No, the fur industry does not torture or abuse the animals. That would result in an unhealthy animal which will not product top quality fur.

For the same reason, Kobe beef is the best in the world, because of its tenderness and flavor. Do you know why? The Kobe cows roam free, eat the best grass, are fed sake (Japanese rice wine) and given massages. Same philosophy applies to fur. If you treat the animal with care, you get a better product.
