Dave Matthews Band Saxophonist Dies

 Jason Squires/WireImage.com LeRoi Moore, the saxophonist for the Dave Matthews Band, died at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in L.A. Tuesday. The 46-year-old died "from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia," his rep said in a statement to Usmagazine.com. TMZ.com reported that he had punctured his lung and suffered broken ribs from the accident. Moore was an original member of the band. The band will perform as scheduled tonight at the Staples Center in L.A., according to TMZ. See Us' photo tribute to stars gone too soon. R.I.P Roi.... I saw DMB at Hartford Ct and Roi had some great solos... It's very very sad that he is gone.. Roi and Carter are best friends and the whole band was a family... We miss you LeRoi!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw them play in LA last night. t was a very emotional show.They played all of Roi's favorites and sounded incredible! Dave was amazing and he really did want to play for Roi. Glad I went. going again tonight.

What a huge loss! He was a greatly talented musician, this is just terrible news. God bless Leroi and those he left behind. Heard DMB played on Tuesday night that must've been very emotional for them, bet that is just how Leroi would have wanted it though. Sure he was looking over them that night. Rock on boys.

As a long time fan, this comes as a huge blow. DMB is a collective group of incredible talent, and Leroi's passing leaves a tremendous hole. When i saw DMB this summer in Raleigh, he was still recovering. And while the fill in musicians were incredible, it was just not the same without Leroi. My prayers go out to his family, as well as the fellow DMB members.

LeRoi you will be greatly missed:( You were such a great presence in DMB. I've been a huge fan and have seen DMB numerous times. Leroi was able to make DMB what they are today. He was so talented and gifted. My heart and prayers go out to LeRoi's family and also DMB.

omg!! this is horrible to hear. my husband and i are huge fans of dave matthews and all the guys, we just saw them in alpine valley, 2 weekends ago and have eagerly awaited summers for 11 years to see them in several different places. Leroi was an amazing musician and i cannot imagine the dave matthews band without him, but i know they will prevail and go with tribute to leroi. may he rest in peace.

My daughter and I have seen DMB 12 times. Mother/daughter road trips from Dallas to The Woodlands or San Antonio. LeRoi will be missed and our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and band members. He was too young to leave us. It is ironic that the band is in CA touring now.
