I have to say again, because this is getting ridiculous seeing post out there making fun of him, these jokes are going to far, and are really uncalled for.

As I mentioned before it pains me becaue I have Children my daughter the same exact age as his daughter, and a Son who is only two years older than his son, and the jokes that have been being made about their father, have really been uncalled for. I work for the school system, and don't think for a second his 9 year old daughter that these jokes won't get back to her, because kids talk.

David is a Human, and does not deserve this treatment. Please let David and the family deal with this situation in peace, and if you can't control yourself, and you just want to say something cruel just for the heck of it, think about the children and then maybe you will re-think your cruel post.

Shame your husband couldn't take the advice of 2:36. Your post made me laugh so hard, although I do admit, I feel bad for you. Just picture the dishes stacking up in my mind, while your husband was holding the bottle of dish liquid detergent in his hand at the computer - for other reasons. Chuckle, chuckle. I hope you've found happiness, or else you could always try 2:36's method.

So many spineless men out there created by femi-nazi culture. All sex addiction means is you're attractive and successful enough to get many women to sleep with you.

Only way a man doesnt have a lot of sex is if he's a priest or ugly or broke. And if he's a preist he's still having sex...just with children.

This makes me sick to my stomach! These men (and women) can behave this way, with no consequence,and then excuse and blame their decisions and choices on a "sexual addiction"!!!!! Do they not realize all they harm, hurt and affect by their selfish choices? I am so sick of hearing everyday of the celebrities and everyday people who use the internet to lead double lives and get off scott free!

Ckayed - I know what you're talking about. I was a beautiful woman who LOVED my man and would have sex every minute of the day with him if I could...I was willing to do some pretty wild stuff too, I was that crazy about him. But if I was out of the picture for for the shortest amount of time - he had to find someone else to be with. This was in the days before internet porn. He had mags but that didn't bother me because I liked them too, looking together. But internet would be different, it would be like cheating, like wanting to be with other woman all the time. I know he loved me, but after taking him back a few times I couldn't live with the stress of knowing it was just a matter of time before the next fling. When I was gone it broke his heart, and he always was sorry and me too. But I will always be glad I took that stand for my self respect. I can't respect the women who stay. I understand why they try to make it work, but it just won't. Leave, and if he can prove he's changed, that's different. Just like any addict. But don't stay and enable him by letting him think you'll stick no matter what. Make the guy grow up, Tea. You're too good to be treated like that.

What about cultural differences toward sex? For example, do Latinos and Anglos have a different concept of what is acceptable sexually? Wouldn't Duchovny just be considered a stud in Latino cultures? What about women? Is "sexual addiction" just putting a new spin on the Anglo culture stuck in puritannical and Victorian concepts of sex?

Nothing in the world hurts more than being involved with someone who over and over threatens the person he loves with infidelity. I think it has more to do with a permissive society that looks the other way when guys (and gals) cheat, rather an actual addiction. Serial cheaters ("sex addicts") think they can keep getting away with it because their partner keeps giving them second chances. The partners give those chances because - guess what? - they really love and support them. Too bad the cheaters can't respect that enough to stop it. Eventually, the partner gets tired of the constant stress of never knowing when the rug will be pulled out again. And they finally leave - for good. Sad for the cheater ("sex addict") because they never really believed they would leave. Good for them too, because losing the person you love most in the world simply because you are a selfish pig, is the most important lesson in the world. An even better lesson would be if all of us simply decided to have a no tolerance policy when it comes to a partner cheating. I bet if every woman kicked her man to the curb the first time (and the last time) he cheated, there would be a whole lot fewer "sex addicts". I think they should just be called Peter Pan.

How sad for Tea Leoni. No one will ever look at David the same way again. Why make it public? I guess it would have come out, but come on... are either of them big enough celebrities to warrant all of this attention? Pathetic for the whole family. He will forever be in the creepy category now. Let's hope they saved up the X Files money.
