I was crew on films during the time they were married. It was a known fact that he couldn't keep his zipper up when he was on set without Meg and then straightened up when she would come to visit the set. This isn't hearsay, it's a witnessed fact. We all wondered all those years if she knew. As well children always know what's going on too. He's a dog and always has been and is probably still cheating. Why would he change his stripes now?

I second that emotion. I think its hilarious how so many women just love the chance to call a guy a "dirt bag" after a breakup (when they have no friggin clue about intimate details of the relationship, nor should they). Only reason he is the bad guy to them is just that - he is a guy. Sexist little hypocrites. It must really get under their skin that he moved on long ago, and has a beautiful new wife and kids. LOL, YOU GO DENNIS!

Dennis Quaid has a new movie coming out next week. If you don't think he isn't going to benefit from all this publicity then you are crazy. He is loving every minute of it. Once a scumbag always a scumbag. I wouldn't doubt it if he and Meg didn't plan this all along since she had a movie coming out too. Bad publicity is better than no publicity at all.

OK...enough with all of this crap! Meg Ryan has every right to talk about her life but when she does it so publicly it only serves her. 8 years is enough time to "recover", "heal", "move on"...sorry but when she releases things so people like us fodder over it, it only hurts her MINOR son Jack. Dennis Quaid may not have been the ideal husband but remember that Meg Ryan may not have been an ideal wife! The point is, we ARE NOT in the know and on the inside of what happened in that relationship. There are 2 sides to EVERY story and just releasing private details of their relationship 8 years later just seems desperate to me. I am not advocating for Dennis or Meg but I think that Meg Ryan is NOT the "America's Sweetheart" she used portray! All I can say now is that I hope this helped her heal because she had absolutely NO consideration for her son and his relationship with his father! Good luck to the Ryan/Quaid clans!

As a woman (and mother) who has gone through the same thing - not as publicly as Meg and Dennis but still the same. The children are not helped by hiding anything - I made my ex-husband tell our kids (at the time 8 and 10) why he was leaving. He had an affair and was not interested in working on our marriage. It takes a long time to heal and if it took her this long then so be it. I am a fan of both but as for Dennis' comment about he has moved on (Good for HIM!!!!) - everyone heals in there own way and maybe he wanted to move on and Meg was not ready and therefore took longer to heal and recover. No one handles divorce the same way and no one can tell you what is a proper grief and healing time. Sorry Dennis you're wrong!

You made your husband telling your kids his affair in the privacy of your home and certainly made sure your kids were well protected and prepared to deal with it as smoothly and untraumatizing as possible.

You didn't run to the media to tell the "good" news of your husband cheating on you, you didn't invite your colleages, all of your friends, neighbours, kids' friends, strangers to take part in your couple's business so that your kids, relatives, co workers, close friends, family learned that (for those who didn't know yet) in the more undecent, shocking way and are suddenly thrown in a spiral made of nasty scrutiny and nasty questions, maybe even insults from strangers because you made your personal business a PUBLIC one !

Sorry but Meg was wrong in the WAY she revealed that not the core of the matter. She made it more hurtfull, undecent and humiliating for those living around her ((not only her ex) than the cheating part in itself !

You just don't throw your 'pants' in public. It's private and should remain private. You don't show your breasts in public, your sex life and all that surround it should remain in the closet ! Period !

Well of course it's a piece of cake for the person who committed the infidelity to move on. Duh. I wonder if so many years from now if the hospital tells him to stop being a whiner and just get over it he'll appreciate that.

actually, meg ryan cheated with russle crow. she left dennis, but crow dumped her and then quaid divorced her. she is obviously still smarting. she was VERY public in flaunting her affair.

Meg must have touched a nerve with Dennis. Apparently he doesn't want to be reminded of his infidelities. She needed to clear the air, but now they're even, and should move on. For the record, I agree with the folks who have said that they preferred Meg's lips the OLD way. She looks like she was stung by killer bees.

I have been trying to post negative comment about Dennis, 3 attempts now. I notice there is a plethora of really nasty stuff about Meg here - I wonder if that's because the mods are only letting anti-Meg stuff through. Meg Ryan has to keep her name in the public eye, otherwise we'd forget about her. She is really nothing spectacular, and the older she gets, with all the wrinkles. she is starting to look like Mick Jagger. Scary stuff!!

I think some of you need to go ACTUALLY read the article and then comment. You cannot base your comments on the US report, it's not fair. She did not dis Russell Crowe in that article in fact she apologizes for how he was treated and really she didn't even bash Dennis Quaid, she simply discussed the reason the marriage ended and took ownership for her part in it too. She mainly talks about that time in her life and her journey since. Read the article please before you throw out some of these horrible comments. And in my opinion she is even more beautiful now because she is wiser and living life for herself and her kids, not someone else. You cannot be the cute, romantic comedy actress forever, real women grow and change and yes do some aging.

I am a big fan of both Meg & Dennis. But I don't think there is anything wrong with what Meg revealed. During the scandal with Russell Crowe, she took all the heat for being the "wrong one" in the marriage and never told the public the truth. Dennis never defended her and said don't blame her, we both made mistakes. She's normally a private person so she's entitled to spill the beans if she feels like it. I also agree that her son is old enough to handle the truth. He probably already knows all the dirt on his parents. And if Dennis has "moved on" as much as he says he has, why even comment?

For all his jargon, what Dennis Quaid DOES NOT say is......"I didn't cheat on Meg Ryan!" If he doesn't like being called a cheater, well then, don't cheat! It's a pretty simple concept.
