Desperate Housewives star Gale Harold was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident Tuesday.

"He has fractured his shoulder and is under observation to assess any possible further injuries," his rep tells Usmagazine.com. "Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery. No one else was injured in the accident."

Harold, 39, is currently recovering in Los Angeles.

TMZ.com first reported the news.

Gale -- who plays Teri Hatcher's beau on Housewives -- previously appeared on Showtime's Queer as Folk.
