DJ AM Attends Memorial Service for Plane Crash Victim

DJ AM joined mourners at a memorial service for Chris Baker on Monday, 10 days after the plane crash that killed Baker and three others. DJ AM and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker were the only survivors; both were badly burned.

On Friday, DJ AM, was released from the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. He returned to Los Angeles by bus. Barker was released on Monday, according to a hospital spokesman. The rocker suffered second and third degree burns in the crash.

“Both Travis and DJ AM wanted to be back for [the funeral]. Travis won't be able to walk for a while since his feet were burned badly, " a source told Usmagazine.com.

Family and friends had a private memorial for Baker on Saturday. “All his family and friends that he grew up with were there,” his mother, Linda Warn, told Us. “The Impala Club that he used to participate in when he was younger brought their cars and parked them all out front.  They also dug out some photos of Chris and we made them into large photos for the memorial.”

i think its so sad wat happened 2 them i hav lost a friend only he was a male, raped by a male n killed n that pain was unbearable. i felt responsible even tho i had ntn 2 do wit it so i can only imagine the amount of grief an guilt both of these brave men r feeling being the only 2 survivors. GOD BLESS, u both r in my prayers along wit the victim's families. GOD heals all wounds in time

I do pray for a speedy recovery. I have never been burned but being a nurse I have seen the most horrific pain on peoples faces while going through that. My heart broke when burn victims came through the ER door. Please, those who are being cruel, let these people grieve in peace. Let them know you care instead of being so hateful.

You don't know what the hell you're talking about. Two years ago I was in a fire where I received second (the most painful) and third degree burns all over my upper body. I was put on Codeine for a month but was sent home after ONE DAY! That is the state of the U.S. health care system. My skin still clearly indicates that I am a burn victim, so how dare you suggest that this was played up to create a story where one did not exist.

US deleted my comment! the same picture is posted on p e o p l e . c o m and it is a close up picture and you can clearly see the burns. if someone things that he wasn't hurt and they are making sound more serious - then i think you should light yourself on fire and see how bad it really is!

Regardless of the severity of his burns, HE WAS IN A PLANE CRASH!!! HE WAS 1 OF 2 SURVIVORS. 4 OTHERS WERE KILLED. Have some compassion. I can only imagaine the emotional and/or mental pain DJ AM and Travis are experiencing, in addition to the physical.

WTF, Listen, If you had ever seen him performing with Travis Barker you would not be saying he isn't a celebrity. He may not be in the tabloids but DJ AM is very talented. The combo of the two guys together is awesome, I've seen them twice at Pure in Vegas. Him spinning and Travis playing the drums like a maniac in unison. I wish them both the best and am sad for the ones that didn't make it. Peace.

My prayers are with the families of those lost. I am also praying for DJ AM and Travis. You can tell that he has been burned. He looks so different. He almost looks like he is wearing a mask or something. He doesn't look like most of his pics. I wish them both a speedy recovery.

It appears to me that,, possibly the majority of his injuries are hidden under his shirt. You can see a little on his neck. I think it is pathetic that the paps will stalk these guys until they get some good injury-showing photos.

Well, WTF--look at his neck. He also appears to have a lot of make up or something on. If you ever have had a second or third degree burn, you know it hurts like hell. Whatever burns he has they do still cause pain. Just because he doesn't look like the Mummy or Frankenstein doesn't mean there is no pain, no need for skin grafts etc. Your compassion is totally overwhelming.

Where are all his burns? He looks fine to me. If he was in serious condition it would takes weeks of surgery/skin grafts and he would still be in the hospital. He probally suffered a minor skkin burn like hot sink water running on you. This guy is not even a celebrity.
