EXCLUSIVE: Elisabeth Hasselbeck Gets Apology from the White House

 Jamie McCarthy/WireImage.com On Tuesday's live taping of The View, conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck complained that she didn't receive her usual invitation to the White House Christmas party. Look back at Republicans on the campaign trail. "Maybe I didn't do enough for the Republican party this year," Hasselbeck said on the show. Turns out, it was never the intention of the White House to not invite her or her husband, Tim, to the soiree. See photos of Barack Obama's biggest celeb fans. "Following today's live show, Elisabeth received a call from the The White House, and they both had a great conversation," Karl T. Nilsson, the executive publicity director of The View told Usmagazine.com. "The President's office apologized and explained that she and her husband were indeed invited to the White House for Christmas and were sorry that it did not arrive. It was simply an oversight." See funny photos of stars with Santa. Before finding out that the snub was unintentional, Hasselbeck said she had a "bone to pick" with the White House. "I love Christmas cards," she said. "I love getting them. There is one in particular that I usually like, and it's an invitation to the White House Christmas party. Hasselbeck, the only fan of President George W. Bush on The View, spent the past campaign season working for the Republican campaign. She even introduced Governor Sarah Palin at some of the rallies. "Both Elisabeth and Tim are hoping to make plans for a visit to the White House in the early New Year," Nilsson told Us. Elizabeth deserves combat pay working alongside those witches on the view. She is spunky,intelligent and refreshing. She has values. cannot say that about the others on the view. BaBa,goldberg and the other two all have baggage it would make monica lewinsky blush.

What the f%@k...Is something wrong with her? Please note that I really don't give a damn about her political views, however I am so sick of people like her. Her now very obvious sense of entitlement, only makes her that much more obnoxious. She should be ashamed of herself for going on tv and complaining about it. Just as much, the White House, should be as well for wasting their time calling to apologize. Its their party and they can invite whoever the f@#k they want? I think I am a great citizen...I guess my invitation was lost in the mail too.

I watch "The View" whenever I am at home. I don't usually agree in full with any of them but find it entertaining. Certainly I don't get my underwear in a bunch over anything they say. It's an entertainment show in a country with free speech. I can't believe the uproar over someone's comment. I wouldn't even have read all this vitriole at all, except I'm home on the sofa and bored after surgery. Relax, quit insulting people, and don't take it all so seriously. Life is short. Enjoy it.
