George Michael Arrested for Crack, Marijuana

 Tim Mosenfelder/Getty Images George Michael was arrested Friday for allegedly possessing crack cocaine and marijuana, BBC News reports. The singer, 45, was busted in a bathroom in London's Hampstead Heath area after an attendant tipped police. He was released with a warning, termed a "caution" in the U.K. "We can confirm a 45-year-old man was arrested in the Hampstead Heath area on the 19th of September on the suspicion of possessing drugs," a Scotland Yard spokesman said. "He was taken to a North London police station where he received a caution and was released with no further action. The caution was for the possession of Class A and Class C drugs, cocaine and cannabis." It is unclear why he has been given a relatively mild punishment for the possession of class A drugs. In a statement Michael said: "I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I'll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them." See unforgettable celebrity mug shots. It isn't Michael's first drug bust. He was found slumped over the wheel of his car in London in 2006 (he later admitted driving while unfit due to drugs). He opened up about his drug problems last year, telling BBC radio that he was aware he smoked too much marijuana and was trying to fight his addiction. "In a strange way I've spent the last 15 to 20 years trying to derail my own career, but it never seems to suffer," he said. "I suffer like crazy. I've suffered bereavements and public humiliations, but my career always seems to right itself like a plastic duck in the bath." Like the person below me said, I don't understand why he is STILL doing drugs since I thought he was so happy with Kenny. I saw him live during his recent tour and it is so obvious that the guy is genuinely a good, caring, extremely down-to-earth guy which is why so many girls (and guys) can't seem to get him out of their heads. Add yeah, he screws up a little... well, everyone does at some point(s) in their life. I just only WiSh I knew what was so bad that he would still be in the same spot he was over a decade ago. And this happens just when I started to believe that the guy had everything under control - and was happy. I still love the guy and even more so his amazing lyrics, but I just wish he would get him. I just find it all a bit saddening.

But I don't understand another thing : if it is true he's very happy with his long time partner, Kenny, as he declaire every time he has the ocasion, why feeling the need to take drugs ? A happy person don't "run" or "hide" in front of the reality, like this ! But we must recognize he has a lot of bad luck with the public restrooms! Maybe he must think giving up of this "sport" and not of music or concerts (for which he declaire he's too old ... ! Am am one of his big fans and it hurt when you read things like this. I saw him on TV at one point this past year. On American Idol maybe? At any rate, he looked, and sang awful.He was very thin, and looked at least twenty years older than his stated age. I was thinking at the time that he had probably contracted HIV from one of his bathroom eoncounters, and that he was making some TV appearances before he got too sick to do so.. I guess I was wrong, and it was only a crack addiction. TOo bad about how celebrities seem to self destruct.

Does this guy have a facination with the toilet? That is where most of his problems stem from. I used to really admire this guy as a teenager. Such a talented and good looking man. But when finding out he was gay, and getting caught doing perverted things in a bathroom, he is now sickening to me. And now this. He needs to just go away. He has ruined his career with his perversion and drug use.

It really sucks when someone so talented wastes his time and energy on this sh*t, really would love to see him enter rehab and get cleaned up. I saw his show in Toronto in July and it was incredible, but also made me wonder if the energy he has in his show is truly his own or if it due to the drugs he is on.
