Hairspray Star, ANTM Contestant Cleared of Assault Charges

 Neilson Barnard/Getty Images; Charles Eshelman/FilmMagic Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky and America's Next Top Model contestant Bianca Golden have been cleared of assault charges stemming from a summer arrest in the Caribbean. The girls and several family members were arrested on July 29 in Turks and Caicos after getting into a fight. "The cases against Nikki Blonsky and Bianca Golden have been dropped," Turks and Caicos Police Sgt. Calvin Chase tells E! News. "The only case that is still proceeding is against [Blonsky's] father." Carl Blonsky faces assault and inflicting grievous bodily harm charges for his role in the Providenciales International Airport brawl, which left Golden's mom seriously injured. If convicted, he could face up to five years behind bars. Chase did not give details on why officials are not pursuing assault charges against Blonsky or Golden. Not particularly a fan of either of these women, although I thought Nikki did a good job in "Hairspray." I don't watch ANTM, so don't know anything about Bianca, except for this news story. Have to say, though, that seeing a black woman named "Bianca" (which means "white") makes me wonder about her mama's common sense.

I feel sorry for Nikki, she seems so nice and it seams that the model did start it because that is was witnesses at the airport said. Her father however seemed to go off on that models mom. I am not sure what started that, I don't know if she assaulted him or said somethings that he didn't appreciate, but he should be charged and I am sure Nikki is furious with her father. He is a great talent and I hope that she does not have to pay for her father's sins. I have never seen the movie hairspray but I have been thinking about her and how horrible she must be feeling.

celebrities are always getting off with nothing. but i honestly do think that nikki blonsky was telling the truth about it. if anyone has seen ANTM, you would know that bianca starts fights and keeps running her mouth like there is no tomorrow.
