I almost fainted when I read this, Hillary is a grown woman who needs to pay for her own party. She makes plenty of money and should'nt expect either parent to pay. The mom is using this as a chance to make the dad look bad and Hillary should step in and shut this down by being responsible.

the only reason he has to pay for the party is because he agreed to in the divorce and now is in contempt for not following an order. if he didnt want to spend that kind of money then he never should have agreed to it. its probably not about the cash as much as its probably about the fact that he went against a court order, but who knows?

In other articles, I read about the reasoning behind the $25k for the party and it was because when Haylee turned 21, that's what they spent on her party. That's why she was asking for that amount for Hilary's party. Regardless, I think there are more important things than asking for that amount for a party AND a present. They aren't minors anymore...

Unless the parents agreed to throw a joint party prior to the party itself, I really don't see why the dad is required to pay for half of it. Hillary is not a minor, so her expenses and upkeep should not be split between her parents. If her mom wants to throw a $25K birthday party, then let her do so on her own dime. That's just silly.

Why would someone have to pay $12,500 for his daughter's 21st birthday? I mean I understand it to an extent, but she is 21 not 12. She has more then enough money. Besides why would someone want to spend $12,500 on a birthday? Even if I had the money, I would not do that. It's a waste.
