House's Hugh Laurie Gets a Big Raise

 Jeffrey Mayer/WireImage.com Ka-ching! Hugh Laurie is getting a raise. The House star, 49, is expected to earn $400,000 an episode -- or more than $9 million a year -- according to the Hollywood Reporter. He started with a mid-five-figure salary in 2004 before earning 250,000-$300,000 an episode in the summer of 2006. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation leading man William Petersen, who is leaving the show, currently tops the list of the highest paid actors on a drama series, earning $600,000 per episode. 24's Kiefer Sutherland nets close to $500,000. Congrats to Hugh. He's definitely worth the extra jack. Hopefully, though, the writers won't saddle House with Cuddy as a romantic interest like they've hinted at in recent interviews. But if the choice is between Cuddy and that annoying Stacy character played by Sela Ward, then Cuddy gets my vote in a heartbeat!
