Jada Pinkett Smith: Pal Katie Holmes Will Be "Fabulous" on Broadway
Friday September 12, 2008
![]() Jason Merritt/FilmMagic; Ray Tamarra/Getty Images Despite early reports of disappointing sales, Katie Holmes is proving to be a draw on Broadway: her debut in All My Sons has already generated advanced ticket sales of $3.5 million, producers told Variety. One of Holmes' biggest fans? Pal Jada Pinkett Smith. "I am going to be there on opening night," the star of The Women told Usmagazine.com at Zac Posen's Fashion Week show in NYC Thursday. "I know she is going to be fabulous," the actress added. Holmes has been rehearsing the Arthur Miller play for months alongside co-stars John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest and Patrick Wilson. If All My Sons's ticket sales hold up, it will rank on par with Equus, starring Daniel Radcliffe as the fall season's biggest nonmusical Broadway opening, Variety reports. "Things are going really well for Katie," husband Tom Cruise told the New York Post's Liz Smith last month. "We'll see you on opening night." Previews of All My Sons begin Sept. 18 with the opening premiere on Oct. 16. See Katie Holmes' hair through the years.
