Dear John & Kelly, My heart goes out to you ,has someone who has seizures,and has been on meds for years,I will tell you that Depakote does not work.The doctors put me on it,and all I did was have more seizures,and it all most killed me.I am now on Dilantin & Phenobarbital,and still have to have my blood checked,because you see even now this med goes out of my body,because I have taken it for so long,and can never get off of it,because I tryed.Theres need to be more research done on this type of seizure,becaue people do not understand about grand mal,it is very hard to get a job,and you can not do things that you see others do.I will keep you in my heart,and pray for thoes who who do not understand,Bless you and your family.

My heart goes out to the entire family. I went through this with my child and there is no time that takes the heartache away. There is no resolution for "could I have done anything to save him"? It is taken out of your hands and that is hard for a parent to understand when it has been our job to take care and watch over our children. Time and memories will help once the shock and dumbness wear off, but their hearts will have a spot in it forever. It is a parents worse nightmare. Again, my thoughts and prayers.

We now know Jett Travolta was taking a drug called Depakote, a strong anti-seizure medication. There have been reports Travolta refused to give his son anti-seizure meds because of Scientology but those stories are not true. (TMZdotcom/2009/01/05/john-travoltas-son-meds-ultimately-did-harm/

ok..so i am sitting here looking at these pictures of john and kelly`s son jett.
Tears are flowing..my son has autism..he has aspergers ..he never once had a seizure.I feel its truely FREE WILL in this country and if the travolta`s wanted to study Scientology then so be it.
i am not big on medication...however if its needed i give it.The pain that they must have felt..in those pictures i see my son...very similar illness and to be honest you can feel the kindness and the love there between john and Jett...may something..someone...anything...give you peace of mind body and soul!

I cant even imagine the pain these people are going through and I cant believe that anyone would dare to criticize them at this time knowing that regardless of what their beliefs may or may not be they lost their only son forever and that's all that matters right now.

My heart, prayers, tears, and all the strength God can give the Travolta family at this tragic time in their life are with them. My family has been through the un-expected tragedy of losing a child. We lost our only son 4 years ago in an auto accident. He was 31. I know it's a big difference in the age of the children, but they were still our children. They were supposed to bury us - not the other way around.

What a tragedy that your baby has to be found a day later, John you and your wife should had been with him if he was a sick boy. i have a 23 year boy i say boy becase that is the only baby i have , didnt you think for ones were was or what was he doing to look for him . sorry Condolences out to the family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10:25am: Get off your holier than though high horse! If you have children and do not do everything possible in your power to help those children but put your own selfish, pseudo-religious beliefs above their ultimate welfare, then yes by all means you are guilty of failing said children! The Travoltas' did act shamefully by not disclosing the true nature of their son's illness because they placed a higher "belief" in their pseudo-"religion" which does not recognize neurological ailments, bans psychiatric medications that ultimately would be HELPFUL to such children, and was a cause of shame and embarrasement to them! If you as a parent do not put the welfare of your child(ren) above all else, then YES you absolutely, unequivically have FAILED them! You HAVE NO IDEA what I have endured in my lifetime. Here's a thought- maybe my thoughts/perspectives have been derived from personal experience and therefore have more than enough right to comment on such topics- ever think of that?? Why don't you THINK about things before jumping on someone and name-calling- ever think of that?

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Travolta, my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. May god help you find the strenghth and peace that you need to go on with your lives without your precious child. I am a mother of two teen boys and cant even imagine the pain you must be going through right now. It has to be unbearable!! God Bless you all!!

also i think it is beyond ludicrous for them to think that any medication would entirely eradicate the problem, anti seizure medications are meant to control, not eradicate the problem, so for them to say ah it didnt stop the seizures just shows you what type of people these are, and that would be impatient greedy scientology cult freaks, now all patients with aids remember nO MEDS

the child was autistic, they refused to admit that because scientology will not allow that, john travolva himself has a history of seizures, so it was partly passed down, now they come up with some silly disease to which most if not all people that suffer from do not have seizures or ailments like this child had,
they refused him medical attention and so he died, it seems like they relied on the nannies and all their doctors were scientologists as well, such a shame the kid suffered, his only fault being born with autism and having parents who were too selfish to let go of their pride (one of the deadly sins) and humble themselves and admit that if they had been more caring of him medically he would still be alive

As badly as I feel for the family, I hope that pathologists are able to find the caise of Jetts health problems, and his death. My daughter suffers from the effects of Kawasakis, so I am familiar with this disease. At no time has she showed any of the symptoms that young Jett has shown, leading me to believe that there was another underlying issue. If the parents were aware of the Autism and did not get thier son the care that he needed due to the view that Scientologists hold on the disease, then I hope that they are held responcible both in a court of law and the court of public opinion.
