Jonas Brothers to Star in Farting Dog Movie

Kevin, 20, Joe, 19, Nick, 16 and the "Bonus Jonas" (little brother Frankie, 8) have signed on to star in Walter the Farting Dog, reports Variety. See what the Jonas Brothers looked like as babies! The family-friendly film is based on a bestselling kids book series of the same name. The main character, Walter, is a fat dog with bad gas. The Jonas Brothers will play musicians who help their parents care for the dog just before its owner, their aunt, passes away. "By the time they’ve driven the dog home, everybody’s head is out the window of the family station wagon but Frankie, and only because he has a serious sinus problem and doesn’t notice the stench coming from Walter," director Peter Farrelly told Variety. Filming begins next spring. The Jonas Brothers have appeared in feature films on the Disney channel. I think with a movie like this. They may need to put a fork in their career because I have a feeling its done. Are they aiming for the preschool crowd with this movie. I thought the tweens was there core audience. No tween is going to want to see a movie about a farting dog!!!

I have thought it was inappropriate, not funny or clever and refuse to have the books or get them from the library. I am kind of diappointed that they have signed on for this....they have to get better offers... I agree. I read the book and thought it was a bit gross and not at all clever or funny.

I agree with whoever said they are doing GREAT with music. Most haters haven't heard them really, or seen them perform...they are not typical teenybopper BS. Not at all. As for TV/movies...it's been less of a winner for them so far (content, as opposed to viewers). Choices like this won't help. I understand wanting to strike while the iron is hot, but they should take the longview. Joe is the only one of them with any evident acting talent...he's very comically skilled. One day he'll be able to handle all sorts of stuff, if given the chance. But doing stuff as a family, and doing this sort of content is going to drag him down and make it harder in the long-run.
