Well, I'll start off by saying I wore a purity ring until I was married and it was one of the best decisions I ever made in my life. I'm frustrated while reading the majority of these comments because no one has bothered (at least not of the comments I read) to point out that Russell Brand was in bad form when he made fun of the Jonas brothers' decision to wait until marriage to have sex. So many comments on here are lashing out at Jordin Sparks for standing up for the brothers. No one bats an eyelash at the disrespect and intolerance Russell Brand showed the guys, but Sparks makes her pro-abstinence comment and that's what everyone gets angry about. Those comments about how she just can't take a joke? That's simple-it's not a joke to those who take their virginity seriously! It was complete disrespect to take something that is so important to them and reduce it to a punchline...numerous punchlines. She stood up for what she believed in and I cannot say enough, "Good for her". Did she voice it as well as she could? Probably not. But I think it was incredibly clear she wasn't insinuating that everyone who doesn't wear a purity ring is a slut, she was just tired of hearing something she holds so important run into the ground and mocked.
