Personally I support Allen more. She just seems like a much more open, interesting and genuinly unique person. Perry can be surprisingly cold sometimes and I just don't like some of the connotations of her songs. But anyways that's just my opinion, they're still both great artists.

Katy said she was a skinnier version of Lily... well, Lily did say, "I happen to know for a fact that she was an American version of me." So she is, then, is she, Lily? And she is skinnier than you, no? Ahhh... the light bulb over your head... it's so nice to see it shine.

It was pretty rude what Katy said, but she apologized. Lily's just pissed because it's true (hit a sore spot there, sweetie?). She seems like a real drama queen, actually- letting it go on... and on... and on...

It just seems like British trash talk which there is nothing wrong with that but i don't get it. Lily Allen needs to chill anyway. I have respect for both artists although i highly prefer Katy Perry for everything she has been through and just what she does.

Second, yes it was kinda rude i guess to say the jokes she said even though life is about making jokes and having fun so yes she was wrong but Lily Allen can chill. Third, how do you tards know if Lily Allen fully writes all of her songs? Just cause she says so? People can lie. Also, i respect both artists but why does Lily Allen have to say "F" word in so many songs and doesn't always seem to have meaningful lyrics? Thats just me but maybe im missing something.

I think Lily is overreacting. What Katy said IS true and she never said that Lily is overweight or fat, just as she never said that Amy Winehouse is a crackhead! Notice that we don't hear of Amy complaining or whining for a public apology? So what if Katy doesn't write her own songs...who really gives a sh!t?? There are many solo artists AND bands who have never written a song! Katy is a pretty good singer and some of the songs she sings (even IF she didn't write them) are quite funny, so I could totally see her trying to crack a joke in an interview! Sounds to me like Lily is jealous of Katy...

Katy Perry does not deserve to be famous, Her vocals are not impressive, the song lyrics are not hers, and she's far from controversial, she's basically an image of controversy, but her lifestyle is nowhere near it. She tries too hard to represent an image of a personality that she just doesn't own, because its trendy, it sells and fits the scene. Its just like when Jewel tried to be a popstar because that currently sells more than her folk image. Sad thing is there are millions of you out there who buy into it.

I love how she refers to herself as a comedian, and not to be taken seriously. Well she made jokes about people who are out of her league, so honestly she shouldn't be so surprised for them not being well received. As far as I'm concerned, Katy Perry is just an instrument that the label used to make money. Nothing special, funny, or amusing. You wouldn't call a keyboard an artist, though it adds to the song composition, so her vocals, do not warrant her as an artist, as she does not write or produce them, like Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse did in part.

There is no real fact, that Katy Perry said I'm sorry for insinuating that Lily Allen had a weight problem. But Lily Allen should have let it go, because now shes a skinnier version of herself.When Lily Allen makes a remark, the press picks up on it, and her already scathing comments get blown way out of proportion.So far she's been provoked, by Cheryl Cole Perez Hilton, Nicola Roberts Bobby Kray Bob Geldof and every member of the British,press. Blame the newspapers not her! that's how it gets started.

If anyone can come up with the name of a person, that writes songs for Katy Perry then it must be true. I used Google and it is true. She does not' write her own songs. Its just envy, because people know that Lily Allen is a songwriter.

Katy Perry's music is okay. Not fabulous. I think she needs to get over her self. As a female, you would think before you say a remark about another female's weight. I think it was catty and rude.

I feel I need to point out that Katy perry did not write I kissed a girl, the primary writing credit is given to Max Martin, who has also written some of the biggest hits for backstreet boys and britney spears (including baby one more time). I hate when Katy perry talks in interviews about the song and inspiration for it and so forth, it is so fake!! She did not even write it!!!

Katy Perry is just jealous that Lily Allen didn't need Perez Hilton's backing to get "famous." Allen rose to fame on her own with witty lyrics, a soft/breathy vocal styling, and an overall attractiveness that countered whate she was singing about. If it's alright to poke fun at people, I guess it's alright to say that Lily Allen has a beautiful face and Katy Perry looks like Zooey Deschanel, only ugly.
