Katy Perry: "I'm Definitely Going to Be on Worst-Dressed Lists"

"I'm definitely going to be on the worst-dressed lists," she says in the newest issue of Page Six magazine, which hits stands Dec. 7 in the Sunday New York Post. See the worst dressed stars of 2008! "I just want to have fun," she says of her style. "I don't take my life too seriously." But, "as much as I am cheeky and full of opinions, essentially I know what I'm doing," she adds. "I don't censor myself, but I do think about everything. And I feel I've got a good head on my shoulders." The "I Kissed a Girl" singer - who was nominated for a Best Female Pop Vocal Grammy Wednesday - says she had plenty of experience making out with women when writing the hit tune. "[I've done it] many times, in several different situations," she said. "I was living with my best friend for awhile, and we were drunk and made out. Between touring and promoting albums, how do they make their long-distance relationship work? "It's definitely difficult," she says. I think she always looks interesting, as all great entertainers do. I'm glad she said she has kissed girls. It seems like everyone asks her that question, "So, have you kissed a girl? Tell us about it", and she has typically dodged the question, pretending that she didn't want to kiss and tell and making her cute Marilyn Monroe/Betty Boop "who me" face. I was starting to think she was just using the lyric because it is catchy but had never actually kissed a girl, which would irritate me. Side note - her voice sounds amazing when she does acoustic performances.

She's a bratty girl still rebelling against her parents. She knows that this behavior and this junk she says hurts her parents, but she'll find out with time that you can't run from your true self. I think it's cool that she's being herself, but I don't think that makes her an appropriate role model for others. Should she be perfect? Of course not. But she's just kind've gross to me. Every time I see her on tv she's wearing stuff that exposes just about everything. I think it's fine to be sexy, but you shouldn't have to try that hard.
