I think she did a very nice job in Times Square. She was UP and really so happy to be there....and it showed. Ryan did an excellent job in putting her there.

Kellie Pickler Spending New Year's Eve With Ryan Seacrest

 Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic American Idol alum Kellie Pickler is reuniting with Ryan Seacrest. The singer has been tapped as this year's Times Square correspondent for Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2009, USA Today reports. Pickler, 22, came in sixth place on the fifth season of Idol. What are your fave Idol stars up to? So is Pickler following in Seacrest's footsteps? She hosted the CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock on Sept. 8. "I've always been interested in television," she told The Arizona Republic earlier this month. "Maybe in the future I can do TV to kind of give me a little break from the music thing, to kind of clear my head and try something new." Although, not all of her experiences on the small screen have been smooth. Pickler caught flack for admitting she'd never heard of Budapest after an embarrassing stint on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?. "With the 5th Grader show, no one even recognized that I won $50,000 for my charity," she pointed out. "It was never attention on anything good I did. Hell, I don't know the capital of Hungary. I don't know many people that do. I can't control what people say about me. I'm not stupid. If was stupid, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now." This from someone who can't spell Kellie even when it's right in front of you, and felt the need to capitalize "Crayon." It's a noun honey, not a brand name. Perhaps you're still using them to draw pictures.
